ANHA stated in the news that tens of citizens have been taken to the center of Heyva Sor a Kurd (Red Crescent of the Kurds). The General Command of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) reported the

Ceasefire Monitoring Coordination in Syria that the gangs’ members have used chemical gases in the attacks towards the neighborhood.

However, international organization and authorities haven’t reacted to the gang’s members’ attacks on civilians.

The Kurdish YPG forces in the Sheik Maqsoud enclave have not apparently on this occasion accused any one faction of the genocidal attacks on them. In fact they are surrounded by a coalition of ”moderate” rebels supported by Turkey and the US,  Al Nusra ”extremists” who are excluded from the current ceasefire, and pro Assad forces to the south.

Sheikh Maqsoud Women: Why This Silence Towards These Massacres?

Sheikh Maqsoud women, who had to migrate to Efrîn Canton due to ongoing the attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, condemned the silence of the world community towards the ongoing massacre. Women said,
“The aim of the attacks is to break the resistance of the revolution.”
They emphasized that the attacks will fail.

The attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo by AKP-controlled, so-called Syrian National Coalition (SNC) and ENKS gang members have continued since February 16. They have used chemical gases, which are prohibited by international conventions, in the attacks yesterday. 14 civilians have been killed and 52 civilians, including women and children, have been wounded in the attacks since February.

Sheikh Maqsoud women, who had to migrate to Efrîn Canton due to ongoing the attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud, reacted to the attacks. Women asked, “Why this silence towards these massacres? They also criticized the rights defenders in the international arena.

Fatma Silêman, who had to migrate to Efrîn Canton due to ongoing attacks on Sheikh Maqsoud, said that the people who have attacked Sheikh Maqsoud are terrorists and the world must call terrorists. Fatma said, “Gang members have blockaded our neighborhood for months. They don’t allow food or medicine to enter the neighborhood. They don’t allow people to go out from their houses. The silence has continued. Why do they stay silent?

Gang members have continued to attacks by support of Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan. However, Kurdish people will destroy his plans. We won’t stay silent against the attacks on us. We will protect the People’s Defense Units (YPG) and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) forces as we can. We won’t allow terrorists to enter our streets.”

Meanwhile, Zekiye Yusuf called on Ccvil society and human rights organizations by saying,
“The silence must be broken against these attacks. Thousands of people live in these streets and they are facing to be killed. Everyone must give a voice. Dirty powers have attacked the streets and neighborhoods of Rojava. They will lose how they did in Kobanê. No power could break the resistance of Kurdish people. We will continue to raise our voice against crime against the humanity.”
