Mass Mobilization defends ‘The Ungovernable’ “We have stopped the eviction!”

Hundreds of activists concentrated at the doors of the Ungovernable to avoid the eviction of the Social Center by the “little trifachito”(Council)  headed by Almeida.

Due to the massive presence of people who concentrated so early in support of the Ungovernable, the judicial delegation informed us that the eviction could not be carried out.

A first win for the social movements of Madrid.

The eviction of the CSO was planned, in principle, for September 2nd, but later it was known that August 28th would be the date chosen by the City Council to try to close the Social Center. Therefore,  the Assembly of the Ungovernable summoned all the social movements of the city to accompany them since last night.

At 00 hours on Wednesday, hundreds of people were already occupying the esplanade in front of the building, in anticipation of a vigil to maintain alertness. At 8:00 am more people began arriving for the #NoNosVamosDesayunamos ( We Wont GoWe Breakfast) call and the day was taking color with the song of “Whoever’s in Government the Ingo defends itself”. CSOA La Gatonera : Solidarity and Resistance with Occupied Social Center ‘The CAT-HOUSE’

The Anarchist occupied social center ‘CSOA La Gatonera’ is getting heavy pressure from the new owners of the building, the ‘de-squat’ security company “Loman”.

The objective of the new owners, Lamero SL,  is to force the abandonment of the building  through threats to achieve a new real estate venture in a neighborhood (Carabanchel) where capitalist speculation is rife.

The owners clearly do not want to start the legal channels of eviction, their objective is to  avoid waiting for the judicial order of eviction. Aquí tienes el segundo número de este periódico que, con el poco tiempo de vida que tiene, puede decir que ha ido cumpliendo poco a poco algunos de los objetivos que se proponía.

Por un lado, se quería generar debate en el barrio y hacerlo mediante un formato accesible, gratuito y con presencia en la calle, algo que se va logrando poco a poco con los repartos que se van haciendo en los metros, algún centro cultural, bibliotecas, comercios y locales.

Por otro, al ser un proyecto auto-gestionado, no contamos con más ayuda económica y esfuerzo que el nuestro propio y el de quienes, mediante el apoyo y la solidaridad, hacen posible que iniciativas como ésta puedan seguir adelante. Ya son varios los proyectos del barrio que nos apoyan económicamente para que puedas tener en formato impreso este periódico y no es  poca la ayuda que supone para quienes queremos seguir con la iniciativa, por lo que, les estamos muy agradecidos y esperamos seguir en esta dirección para poder, en un futuro no muy lejano, tener una tirada más grande en la calle y poder llegar a más sitios.

Al final, los 1.000 ejemplares, se nos han quedado cortos y eso, es una buena noticia.

3.000 people killed by Madrid Fascists finally named

The walls of the Almudena cemetery in Madrid were used as a backdrop for mass illegal executions of suspected opponents by the victorious  fascist rebels.

The coverup of hundreds of thousands of murders, stealing of babies and 40 years of State terror by the right wing inheritors of power and privilege continues today. In this case the popular left city council of Madrid has defied the State to publish the names of victims.Aug. 5 marks  the shooting of the 13 Roses, young women who were convicted of supporting the bombing death of General Isaac Gabaldon in July 29, 1939. The case also included two other women, Antonia Torres and Julia Vellisca, and another 53 men, all shot against the walls of the cemetery in Madrid.

Madrid City Council has rescued from oblivion the names and details of almost 3,000 people murdered by the victorious fascist catholics during the postwar Franco dictatorship in pSain.

This is the largest documentary work done in Madrid on those executed in the postwar period, since the aforementioned list reviews the number of 2,663 executed and executed in Madrid by the historians Mirta Núñez and Antonio Rojas in about three hundred people. A Madrid  exhibition showed 81 photos of T-shirts with slogans and drawings against the police.

What’s more, if you wore a striking T-shirt with a  witty phrase or suggestive drawing, it’s likely you’ve been photographed yourself. His name is Santi Ochoa and he’s been doing it since 2003. In his file there are now more than 20,000 images of T-shirts.

From all of them, he selected 81 for this exhibition ‘La guerra de las camiseta’, (T-Shirt Wars),now finished, in the ABM Confecciones space, on Calle Encarnación González in Madrid. The idea occurred to him last year – “to make the exhibition just before the approval of the Gag Law,” explains Ochoa to Diagonal – but it is only now it has been carried out, motivated by ‘The Last Straw’..

Miles de personas en la manifestación antifascista: #MadridParaTodas

La manifestación partió a las 19:00 de Atocha y recorrió la zona centro hasta Sol al grito de “Hogar social, hogar criminal”


 

Esta tarde estamos presentes en la manifestación convocada por la plataforma unitaria “Madrid para todas” ante el avance de los mensajes racistas y fascistas.

Recordamos que otra manifestación, de corte neo-nazi recorrerá también las calles de Madrid tras haber sido autorizada por la delegada del gobierno de Madrid. La misma delegada que intentó prohibir las esteladas en el partido de fútbol que también tendrá lugar hoy en Madrid por considerar que “incitaban a la violencia”.

Numerosos colectivos han apoyado esta iniciativa que ya ha estado durante estas semanas realizando distintas actividades en varios barrios de Madrid.

The latest short documentary in the Global Uprisings series explores ongoing resistance and self-organization in the midst of the crisis in Spain.

As social conditions continue to deteriorate across Spain, people have been turning to the streets and to each other to find solutions to the crisis. This film tells the story of the massive mobilization that saw millions of people converge on Madrid on March 22, 2014; the story of the proliferation of social centers, community gardens, self-organized food banks; and the story of large-scale housing occupations by and for families that have been evicted. The film pieces together many of the creative ways that people have been coping with crisis and asks what the future may hold for Spain.

Anonymous support Spanish Millions March 22nd

Anonymous Press supports the Marches for Dignity,  called for the 22 March         by Kaos .

At least 7 mass marches from around Spain will start 10 days earlier and converge on Madrid on 22 March. The idea began from the radical SAT agricultural union in Andalusia.

Large state media are deliberately ignoring the dignity marches set for next March 22 , which seek to destroy the governments of the troika with protests from dozens of points of the Spanish geography to Madrid to gather millions of people in the capital to say “enough .”

The initiative , which started as an idea of the Andalusian Workers Union , has already gathered hundreds of political, trade union and social organizations around the country who come together to make 22M a historic day for the people of this country.1526129_755979091096354_680837289_nOn this occasion, it was Anonymous that released a video showing  support for the initiative and calling on people to mobilize to “end the government in power at the service of big capital , which are killing all our rights. Los grandes medios de comunicación estatales están obviando premeditadamente las marchas por la dignidad del próximo 22 de Marzo, que pretenden acabar con los gobiernos de la troika con movilizaciones desde decenas de puntos de la geografía española hasta Madrid para congregar a millones de personas en la capital que digan “basta ya”.1538894_219219718267039_548410136_n

La iniciativa, que partió como idea del Sindicato Andaluz de Trabajadores, ha congregado ya a cientos de organizaciones políticas, sindicales y sociales de todo el país que aúnan esfuerzos para hacer del 22M una fecha histórica para los pueblos de este país.
