The REVO is back!
A year ago THE REVOLUTIONARY FEMINIST HOUSE “LA REVO” was born when a house in the ‘Ovary Gate’ (institutionally known as Puerta del Osario) was occupied as a feminist, not mixed, home and an anti-patriarchal space.
This was the result of a long assembly process and collective knowledge that took place over several months and which was join ed by women from many feminist groups. Our goal at that time was to create a site of struggle, meeting, discussion, political reflection, critical thinking and collective creation, as well as a place from which to project our feminist ideas.
We left that place because the conditions of the house did not fit our needs. Today, after a year of internal work and other activities and actions we announce that we have finally opened a new space for feminist resistance in the city.
The new house is located in the North center of Seville, a neighborhood with a significant history of social struggle and resistance and where in recent decades wild and dramatic speculation and gentrification processes have developed as well as privatization of public spaces, increasingly scarce in our neighborhoods.
With this occupation, we hope to give a new use and a new life to this abandoned space, while avoiding its progressive deterioration and to care for and help to preserve the characteristics and history of the place.
Perhaps some people still do not understand why it’s a non-mixed space. All we can say is that we need it: we need it to build ourselves, our history and our own place; for feminism to get further; we need spaces of critical communication and production of collective thinking; we need a physical free and liberated space, free from oppressive attitudes, where we can strengthens ourselves, know lourselves,care for ourselves and make our struggle gain visibility gain space, multiply and spread.
For all these rfeasons, we invite all women comrades, trans, dykes and other non-hegemonic identities, to come and get to know us and collectively celebrate ……( see agenda poster below) .

Hace un año salió a la luz LA CASA REVOLUCIONÁ FEMINISTA “LA REVO”, cuando se okupó una casa en la Puerta del Ovario (institucionalmente conocida como Puerta del Osario) para hacer de aquella casa un espacio feminista, no mixto y antipatriarcal. Este hecho fue resultado de un largo proceso asambleario y de conocimiento colectivo que tuvo lugar a lo largo de varios meses y al que se fueron sumando mujeres provenientes de muchos colectivos feministas.
Nuestro objetivo en aquel momento y ahora fue el de crear un lugar de lucha, encuentro, debate, reflexión política, pensamiento crítico y creación colectiva, así como un lugar desde el que proyectar nuestras ideas feministas.

Nos fuimos de aquel lugar porque las condiciones de la casa no se ajustaban a nuestras necesidades. Hoy, después de un año de trabajo interno y de otras actividades y acciones volvemos para anunciaros que por fin hemos abierto un nuevo espacio de resistencia feminista en la ciudad.
La nueva casa se encuentra en la zona del Casco Norte de Sevilla, un barrio con una importante historia de lucha y resistencia social y donde en las últimas décadas se han desarrollado salvajes y dramáticos procesos especulativos y de gentrificación, así como de privatización de los espacios públicos, cada vez más escasos en nuestros barrios.
Con su okupación, esperamos darle un nuevo uso y una nueva vida a este espacio abandonado, a la vez que cuidarlo evitando su progresivo deterioro y ayudando a conservar las peculiaridades y la historia del lugar.

Quizás algunas personas sigan sin entender el porqué de un espacio no mixto. Lo único que podemos decir es que nosotrxs lo necesitamos: necesitamos construirnos a nosotrxs mismxs, a nuestra historia y a nuestro propio lugar; necesitamos hacer llegar el feminismo más lejos; necesitamos espacios de comunicación crítica y de producción de pensamiento colectivo; necesitamos un espacio 
físico, liberado y libre de actitudes opresoras, donde fortalecernos, conocernos, cuidarnos y hacer que esta lucha se visibilice, se multiplique y se propague.
Por todo esto, os invitamos a todxs: mujeres, trans, bolleras y otras identidades no hegemónicas, a que vengáis a conocer y festejar colectivamente …. (ver agenda de actividades arriba)
