In Spain, especially in the south, Religious Processions, Festivals and Bullfights are still used as an excuse to impose the submissive mindset under Catholic, State and machista control and exploitation. In recent years feminists have countered with Rebel ‘Pussy Pride’ processions, to the horror of the Catholic Church.

The Malaga Prosecutor’s Office has asked that the accused be sentenced to pay a fine of 3,000 euros for a crime against religious feelings.

It should be noted that this is not the only case initiated by the Christian Lawyers Association against feminist groups or activists. The most mediatic and well-known “Rebel Pussy” took place on May 1, 2014 in Seville. This performance was after the one of the “Great Procession of the rebellious chumino saint” which took place on March 8, 2014 in Malaga.
The far right religious group also attempted, unsuccessfully, to tie CGT anarcho-syndicalist organisers to a “Feminist Aquelarre” (coven) gathering which took place at the same time as a CGT Labour Day gathering on May 1st 2014 and the union supported the feminists.
In the case of the “Unruly Pussy,” justice on that occasion agreed with the activists, an event that provides a favorable precedent in this case as well.
”To say ‘this body is mine’, is a provocation; ‘I do not want to have children’, is a provocation; ‘I want a living wage’, is also a provocation; ‘Do not beat me anymore’, is another provocation. Whatever women do, there will always be many men who feel threatened. But we will not remain silent because we believe we are citizens and not objects serving anyone.”

Un año de cárcel: Abogados cristianos contra el chumino rebelde
La Fiscalía malagueña ha pedido que la procesada sea condenada a pagar una multa de 3.000 euros por un delito contra los sentimientos religiosos.

Los abogados cristianos consideran una ofensa lo que para la acusada es «defender los derechos de las mujeres». En el juicio que ha quedado visto para sentencia la fiscalía malagueña ha pedido una condena para la procesada de 3.000 euros a pesar de que esta, insisto en que no pensaba ofender a los católicos.
Mientras, la acusación particular va un paso mas lejos. De esta manera, la Asociación de Abogados Cristianos solicita un año de prisión y multa de veinticuatro meses por provocación a la discriminación, al odio y a la violencia así como por un delito contra la libertad de conciencia y los sentimientos religiosos.
Condenas que de ser en alguno de los casos favorables a la acusación darian un nuevo sentido a la expresión «con la iglesia hemos topado». De esta manera ha dado también la noticia Insurgente haciendo notar que, frente a los bloqueos comunicacionales y mediáticos otra forma de hacer periodismo contrahegemónico es posible.
