La eurodiputada catalana Clara Ponsatí ha pedido al alto representante de la UE para la política exterior, Josep Borrell, que impida que España venda armas a Turquía y ha recordado que el Estado es el principal proveedor europeo de armas al régimen de Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “Esto debe ser detenido por la Comisión, señor Borrell”, dijo al ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de la UE, que estuvo presente en la sesión plenaria del Parlamento Europeo este miércoles.

Ponsatí hizo el llamado en un discurso centrado en el conflicto entre Azerbaiyán y Armenia, centrado en Artsaj, también conocido como el territorio de Nagorno-Karabaj. Las armas que los miembros de la UE venden a Turquía, dijo, terminan siendo utilizadas en este conflicto, que describió como una “agresión militar contra el pueblo armenio” que “amenaza la estabilidad de toda la región del Cáucaso”.

Catalan MEP Clara Ponsatí has called on the EU’s high representative for foreign policy, Josep Borrell, to stop Spain from selling arms to Turkey and recalled that the state is the main European arms provider to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s regime. “This must be stopped by the Commission, Mr Borrell,” she said to the EU foreign minister, who was present at the European Parliament’s plenary session this Wednesday.

Ponsatí made the call in a speech focusing on the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia – centred on Artsakh, also known as the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Weapons that EU members sell to Turkey, she said, are ending up being used in this conflict, which she described as “military aggression against the Armenian people” that “threatens the stability of the whole Caucasus region.”

In this context, Ponsati called on the European Commission to “increase the pressure on Turkey and Azerbaijan” to stop the offensive against the Artsakh Republic. “The conflict can be and will be resolved through constructive negotiation between the parties.”

MINSK ANARCHISTS UNDER ATTACK!

Anarchist Marina Dubin in a prominent figure within the ′′ Ecohome ′′ organisation has now been detained in Minsk.

Like many anarchists within the city of Minsk, she had been repeatedly stopped and detained and repressed for her political beliefs: in 2017 she was sentenced to 14 days for participation in the ′′ March of unparasites “ and in June 2018 she was attacked by SOBR and GUBOPIK in the forest near Krupki.

Her house has been searched repeatedly and she has seen further repression of the printing co-operation of′′ Listovka “.

On October 2, two members of the same printing co-operative, Yevgeny Dyatkowski and Konstantin Niestierowicz (below) were also detained as part of a government policy targeting anarchists throughout the country.

Let us remind you that ′′ ′′ is an anarchist cooperative that has printed many publications, bulletins and zines as well as strike leaflets for employees of state companies who find it impossible to produce anything in relation to workers struggle or workers rights.

The Republican was seen floundering at times in the debate until the fly, directly operated by Putin, buzzed the words “not true, not true”, “no, no, no” providing Pence with airtight rebuttals to things such as verifiable facts.

IBM, the company responsible for the software behind Pence admitted it needed some work after viewers complained Pence lacked more empathy than a serial killer.

“There is an horrifying soullessness to the eyes we just can’t seem to change,” explained one IBM official.

Polls taken in the aftermath of the debate had surprisingly positive results with 89% of respondents saying they preferred the idea of their vice-president being a lunatic conservative who gets his messages from a Russian operated fly, than being a lunatic conservative who thinks God is speaking directly to him.

Some 75% of respondents found the debate, which focused more on substance, ‘boring’, stating they preferred debates in which candidates spiced things up by trying to advocate a race war.
