…My comment: African swine fever (ASP) has now arrived on a farm in western Poland. Not yet in Germany, but hysteria against wild boars has broken out like a pandemic, and tens of thousands of animals are at risk of “culling”.
Imagine that you would currently do the same with the Corona infected?
There were 599,855 wild boars shot in Germany in the 2018/19 season. Preventive only!

Innocent victims for a man-made illness.
All point a finger at the wild boar. The pathogen only migrates through wild boars about 20 kilometers a year. The government does not speak of hunting, but of disease control !!!

On Sunday, March 22, the official number of those affected by coronavirus in Germany (22213) was similar to that of the Spanish State (28603). However, the death toll is much lower in the Germanic country (93 deaths there for 1,756 here) despite almost doubling the Spanish population. The death rate is therefore 15 times lower in Germany: 0.4% by 6.13%. How do you explain that abysmal difference?

In this regard, Fernando Simón, director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies in the Spanish State, said publicly that he could not explain it. “We do not know,” he replied Friday in his daily appearance before the media in response to the question of how this abysmal difference in mortality between the two States was possible, which, as of March 22, is 19 times higher in the case of the Spanish State, whose population is 47 million compared to 83 in Germany.

Cold statistical data and analysis hide, as we know, a socially dramatic reality. In the Spanish State, the mortality caused by the coronavirus is not only, or even mainly, due to its lethality: it is mainly of public health, a macabre business at the cost of the health and life of the majority.

However, to know the health situation of both countries, it is worth taking a look at the health spending of each one: Germany in 2018 allocated 9.48% of its GDP to health spending, that is, 321,134 million, representing 21.36 % of total public spending. On the other hand, the Spanish State only dedicated 6.27% of its GDP, that is, 75.434 million, 15.14% of total public spending.

Therefore, while Germany spends 3,878 euros per inhabitant in health, the Spanish State only invests 1,616 euros:

if 9.48% of GDP were invested in health here as in Germany, health spending would have risen 38,000 euros more (more than the half that at present) going from 1600 euros to over 2400 per inhabitant and year.

I first heard your voice when I was 15

Had no idea what it was to be free

Sheriffs kicking in doors, leaving furniture in the streets

Learning you could starve if you didn’t have the means

All the saints taught me, listen to no worldly kings

Principal, coaches & priests, all the same things

When the police blinded me with war chemicals

laughter was my partner, I hadn’t broken my rules

After god went away, Anarchy never faded

Politicians love to recruit but I can’t be persuaded

My anarchy, grew with me, walmart & McDonalds Protests

Activism always went through stages

learn-act, learn more-act more, growth, always growth

Sometimes I was an an archo-fascist, forcing my freedom

with fists and knives, words and hated

the first dominant behavior I had to destroy

Was my own loud-always-right voice

To me Anarchy meant facing up to my own

Patriarchy, xenophobia, racism, homophobia

All of my most productive battles weren’t vs cops

But against hidden learned behaviors

Anarchy meant allowing growth, loving myself

to acknowledge being harmful

The revolution always begins between our 2 ears

& the more I open myself to experiences not my own

The better I become

For me anarchy is in the heart & in the streets

I meant friendship, not chances to be judge

I’ve failed in this aspect many times

Anarchy was a way to live free

A way to find what that means

then instill it in my everyday life

Anarchy means standing up when it counts

Being there when able

My anarchism couldn’t have existed

In a vacuum removed from action

There was never a movement for me

nor was I a “loan wolf”

Sometimes comrades joined me

other times the goddess was my partner

There was no attendance, roll-call

Just a desire to make the world better

Anarchy to me meant love, it meant calm

it was living how you want the world to be

Some took it in lots of opposing directions

that was ok also

No one owns an idea

although some swear to have the receipt

My anarchism loved plants & nature

wasn’t a big fan of consumerism

& hated genocidal meat “farms”

… My anarchism loved people who love people

Cops, military folks, government bureaucrats were not welcome

If your prerogative was to limit, take from or own/control people

we were enemies

Does anarchy still exist?

I pray so

I’m afraid of the internet swallowing it whole

& “clicktivism” overriding activism

Of sectarianism splintering any progress being made

Of Trump wearing everyone out

then some being convinced in electoral leadership

But only if Berndog wins

Prisons need to be burned, CEOs beheaded

communities need to grow & heal together

That’s what Anarchism is to me

Action based healing and growing

Today, when environmentalism is under assault by Republican reactionaries in the United States, Tory reactionaries in Britain, and apologists for corporate interests everywhere, I wish to reiterate my emphatic support for all environmentalist tendencies that seek to preserve biotic diversity, clean air and water, chemically untainted foods, and wilderness areas.

Much of my life — some forty years as a writer, lecturer, and activist in various movements — has been and remains assiduously committed to these environmental goals. It would be gross demagoguery for antihumanists, misanthropes, and primivitists — who in my view are seriously damaging the environmental cause — to identify their own regressive ideas with ecology as such and to challenge any criticism of them as an endeavor to subvert the ecology movement.

I find it necessary to make this statement to the reader because some years ago, a leading light in the deep ecology tendency scandalously accused me in The Progressive of capitulating to reactionaries in the United States after I criticized his ecomystical views as deleterious to the environmental movement. Nor is he the only one who has done so over the years in one way or another.

Since its election on an anti-immigrant platform, the ruling New Democracy party in Greece has publicly pushed for the establishment of closed detention centres for migrants who enter the country from Turkey, with the intention of their eventual deportation to Turkey or their country of origin.

After facing months of obstacles, including the opposition of human rights groups, local communities and governments across the Aegean islands to the construction of these closed structures, recent measures taken ostensibly to control the spread of COVID-19 are paving the way to the mass detention of migrants in Lesvos.

Las mujeres afganas las que luchan contra el fundamentalismo y por sus derechos y las mujeres kurdas que luchan contra la ocupación.

Contra esta creciente mentalidad patriarcal y la violencia que genera, la autodefensa es necesaria.
