The Free is a book and a blog. Download free E/book ...”the most detailed fictional treatment of the movement from a world recognizably like our own to an anarchist society that I have read...
May 1st is a day of workers’ struggle around the world, a day instituted after the murder of five anarchist workers in Chicago in 1886, when the McCormick factory workers were on strike for the eight-hour day.
And today the struggle of the working class must continue because, despite having achieved rights and improvements since that distant 1886 in Chicago, it is also true that many rights remain to be won and recovered, those that are being taken away from us.
Capitalism, in its greed for profit, never ceases to make people’s living conditions increasingly precarious.
With crises, the number of rich people increases, but at the same time, the number of poor people increases. And day by day, we see how the purchasing power of wages decreases; rents and housing prices increase, preventing young people from accessing housing and keeping those who can afford it tied to banks for 20 or 30 years.
We workers see how the State is privatizing public services like healthcare, which for years has not been given the necessary resources; Public education resources are being cut while military spending, which is the business of death, increases outrageously.
The purchasing power of pensions is increasingly reduced, which is terrible because these pensions often serve to alleviate the lack of resources of unemployed children and grandchildren.
Unions that receive state funds, by participating in the game of union elections, to maintain social peace and take their share of the pie, sign agreements with wage increases that are below the real cost of living.
The cost of living has risen by 12% on average, the price of basic necessities has increased by 30% to 40%, and the agreements are being signed with increases of 2.5% to 4%.
All this while calling off widely supported strikes that demanded increases in line with the rising cost of living.
From the National Confederation of Labor, affiliated with the International Workers’ Association (CNT-AIT), we address you, the working class, to tell you that we offer you a tool of struggle, like our Union, to recover the pride and dignity that we have allowed to be taken away from us for years.
For years, capitalism has divided the working class in two: one the middle class and the other the working class. In reality, all of us who depend on a salary are working class, susceptible to losing our jobs whenever the employer sees fit.
The CNT-AIT wants to tell you that when workers became self-aware and organized in the National Confederation of Labor, the employers of this country became aware of the strength of the working class and began to respect them.

We are pleased to announced that InterRebellium 01. The Estallido Social is here. We have subtitles in English Spanish and Portuguese for this documentary. Our apologies for the delay on French subtitles, they will be available soon!
This has been a huge undertaking, but incredibly rewarding. This is the first of what we hope to be many episodes and we sincerely hope it was worth the wait.
ENGLISH InterRebellium 01. The Estallido Social
The first of a multipart documentary series, InterRebellium 01. The Estallido Social is a story told through the eyes of anarchist and anticolonial participants of the 2019 uprising in the territories occupied by the state of Chile.
The Estallido Social (or Social Explosion) was a popular uprising in the territories occupied by the Chilean state, sparked on October 18th 2019 by a fare hike of 30 pesos. What began with a student-led campaign of transit fare evasions quickly spread into a nationwide uprising that shook society to its very foundations.
This uprising was born out of the long history of revolt in so-called Chile. Unfortunately, as participant Yza reminds us, long histories of revolt are often due to long histories of repression. Repression in these lands goes back before the formation of the Chilean state, to the Spanish invasion and conquest.
But the modern era begins with the 1973 coup that installed Augusto Pinochet as dictator. Years of neoliberal reforms produced a disillusioned and disorganized working class. InterRebellium traces the roots of the 2019 uprising to the student movements of the 2000s and feminist movements of the mid 2010s, as well as through Indigenous resistance throughout the history of colonial domination.
The movement also took cues and tactics from revolts happening concurrently in Hong Kong and Ecuador.
For months, thousands of people fought pitched street battles with the cops and military, organized networks of support for the front line militants, created horizontally organized neighborhood assemblies, participated in general strikes and conducted acts of arson and sabotage against symbols of power and multinational corporations.
The Estallido was ultimately contained through a combination of brutal state repression, promises of reform and a new constitution, and an aesthetic face-lift on the old symbols of power with the election of the young Gabriel Boric of the new-left.
As the riots subsided and many people became willing to work within the channels of state bureaucracy, Boric and the new left were free to build coalition with the same forces that were in power before the Estallido, leaving many of the worst perpetrators of state repression in their same roles. A handful of political prisoners from the Estallido remain behind bars to this day (April 2025)
InterRebellium will cover the global wave of revolts from 2018-2020. The title is from Latin for “between uprisings.” We believe it is important to take this time between waves relate our experiences on a worldwide scale, to study the last one so that we are better prepared for the next one. >>>Watch the Full Video<<< On our site On Kolektiva On YouTube

InterRebellium 01.

‘We are being psychologically manipulated at mass scale into consenting to the most nightmarish atrocities imaginable. Children’s bodies are being shredded to bits right in front of us’.
Trump is committing genocide for Israel after publicly admitting to being bought and owned by the Adelsons..
All the worst shit happens right out in the open. You don’t need to come up with any elaborate conspiracy theories to see it. It’s right there, completely unhidden.
It’s not hidden, it’s just spun. Disguised by the propaganda of the mass media who frame this holocaust as a war of defense in response to a terrorist attack while constantly diverting our attention to other far less significant issues.
It says so much about the power of the imperial propaganda machine that Trump could openly admit to having been fully controlled by Adelson cash on the campaign trail, get elected, and then facilitate a blatant extermination campaign in Gaza while aggressively stomping out free speech that is critical of Israel throughout the United States — and somehow not have this be the main thing that everyone talks about all the time.
It is only because our minds are being forcefully manipulated by the powerful at mass scale that this has been the case
The narrative spin is greatly aided by the fact that Trump isn’t doing much different from the previous president here.
A public which has been indoctrinated from childhood into seeing everything in Democrat-vs-Republican binaries is conditioned to focus far more on the differences between the two parties than the similarities.
But you can learn a whole lot more about real power and what’s actually going on in the world by paying less attention to how US presidents differ from each other, and more attention to the ways in which they are the same.
The mass-scale psychological manipulation is so pervasive and ubiquitous that only a small minority are reacting to history’s first live-streamed genocide with an appropriate level of horror.
If US Americans could see what their government is doing in their name with fresh eyes and uncalloused hearts, the nation’s capitol would be burnt to the ground within days.
