116 daily evictions, a reality that clashes with the progressive discourse of the Government
The scourge of evictions continues despite electoral promises and inter-party pacts.

Stop Desahucios Granada 15M demanda una solución al Sabadell para que dos familias no pierdan su vivienda

The “progressive” government, which boasted they would solve the housing problem, shows once again which side they are on: the banks and vulture funds that take away the right to decent housing. This week in Granada, 2 octogenarians with chronic diseases have been evicted.

The scourge of evictions continues despite electoral promises and inter-party pacts. The “progressive” government, which filled its mouth by saying that they would solve the housing problem, once again shows which side they are on: the banks and vulture funds that take away our right to decent housing. This same week in Granada, 2 octogenarians with chronic diseases have been evicted.

Afectados por la Hipoteca Granada

An activist for the right to housing made this reflection on Twitter about the unprecedented news of an eviction in Granada – more than hundreds a week- in which 2 elderly people over 80 years old were thrown out of their house.

“The year we had to stay home. The judges have made it clear for months that the Government Decree does not oblige them to stop evictions. And the worst thing is that the government knows it. Because they told them. “

Seeds Collective plants Life and Abundance in Communities Eng/Esp

Argentina. Seed collectivization: life and abundance in the hands of the communities

# #FortaleciendolaAgroecología

| Despite having come with the impulse of the neoliberal governments -which thirty years ago settled in the region-, the industrial model implemented in the agroforestry zone of northeastern Argentina ran into a fundamental resistance factor: the Organic Agriculture Network of Missions. (la Red de Agricultura Orgánica de Misiones.)

A group of farmers, associations and NGOs that understand that production and sustainability are not contradictory terms. We review the history of RAOM and its activism in favor of agroecology in the province and in the region, through the testimony of Gerardo Segovia *.

The province of Misiones, located in the Mesopotamian region, received the impact of the 1990s with the same fate as the rest of the Southern Cone: the monoculture model and its consequent technological package arrived to install the practices that neoliberalism imposed as a plan of looting natural resources in the region.

In the province -one of the smallest in the country, but with enormous water resources and unique biodiversity-, the proposal focused on strengthening a forestry-industrial, tourism and energy plan based on large dams, and on the forestry model of monocultures, planting large areas of pine.

Faced with this growing scenario, in May 1993 the first Organic Agriculture Conference was organized at the Eldorado Agrotechnical School. In those four days of workshops and debates, says Gerardo, “the need arose to create a network that communicates, that articulates the number of farmers who were dispersed in the province and who were developing what historically they knew how to do, which was working with crops that are compatible with the forest and with natural cycles, and that fought for an agroecological development model ”.

Israel’s population is nearly 8.8 million people with Zimbabwe being around 15 million. Israel has all the resources and wealth to pursue the most aggressive and expensive medical campaign to deal with the Corona Virus — and they have chosen mass vaccinations.

Israel

The Times of Israel article, 25 March 2021, was entitled “With most Israelis now fully vaccinated, virus spread continues sharp drop-off”. The article suggests positive test rates have reached the lowest level since last June with only 470 new patients diagnosed Wednesday (24 March 2021). Since the start of the pandemic, 831,383 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and 6,165 people have died (as of 27/3/2021).

Ministry data also showed that 50.07% of the population have now received both doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine that Israel is…

March of the Uyghurs: Truth behind the Great Wall Of Lies .. by Andre Vltchek, now conveniently dead

thefreeonline's avatarThe Free

Try typing ”Some Uyghurs are jihadi terrorists” in Google and you will see only thousands and thousands of posts about how horrible China is Genociding innocent Uyghurs and must be punished, sanctioned, boycotted and reviled. Just a few years ago it was Russia we were urged continually to hate, not that that has stopped either.

SY1

The reason is that the US ”defense” industry, on a $750 BILLION budget, has allocated various billions to a worldwide campaign of daily lies and vilification of China and everything Chinese. It seems China has been deemed a mortal threat to the good old USA.

Here we republish a big post by the always accurate Andre Vltchek which tries to hold back the tsunami of hatred and racism directed at all 1.400 million Chinese for their state’s diabolical plot for world peace, mutual respect and multilateralism. Andre died suddenly last year when traveling in a…

20 Nov 1970- Women storm Miss World as 100 million viewers Learn Feminism

‘The spectacle is vulnerable,’ proclaimed the pamphlet Why Miss World? And so it proved to be on 20 November 1970, when activists from the nascent women’s liberation movement deployed rattles, chants, banners, flour, smoke bombs, stink bombs, ripe tomatoes and bundles of cascading leaflets to disrupt the 1970 Miss World pageant at London’s Albert Hall, in front of a global television audience of a hundred million people.

Why Miss World? Misbehaving

A new edited volume emphasises that the personal is political and highlights the power of spectacular direct action, says Alice Robson

Misbehaving: stories of protest against the Miss World contest and the beauty industry tells the stories of those who took part in the action in their own words, but does much more than merely record the night’s events, with writers sharing what brought them to the movement and how it changed their lives. In doing so, it contributes to our understanding of 1970s struggles, and to questions that resonate beyond that historical moment.

Reject genocidal U.S. blockade on Cuba.. Protests in 60+ countries

When Biden was elected hopes soared that the 60 year blockade and terrorist persecution of Cuba would end. After all Biden was vice president under Obama when he timidly opened the door for reconciliation. Now is the moment to put on pressure with the Caravan campaign worldwide. Biden should stop bowing to racist rightwing pressure and halt Trump’s campaign of Terror

What Cuban-Americans started 9 months ago in Miami, bike/car caravans have spread across the U.S. and Canada month by month to call for bridges of love between the people of the U.S. , Canada and Cuba. U.S. unilateral sanctions — particularly the 240 measures instituted in the last 4 years — hurt Cuban families.

At least 16 U.S. cities have joined. Two, Miami and now Tampa, in Florida. Boston and Holyoke in Massachusetts; Hartford, Conn.; New York City and Albany in NY; Washington, D.C.; Detroit; Chicago; Minneapolis; Seattle; Las Vegas; Seattle; San Francisco; Los Angeles.
