Immediate freedom for Laura! Enough of repression! in English below

Les persones i organitzacions sotasignades ens adherim al següent manifest i ens solidaritzem amb la companya Laura Gómez exigint la seva immediata posada en llibertat.

El 25 d’abril la Jutgessa del Jutjat d’Instrucció núm. 23 de Barcelona va decretar presó sense fiança per a la Secretària d’Organització de la CGT-Barcelona amb els càrrecs d’incendi i subsidiàriament de danys, coaccions, delicte de desordres públics i delicte contra els drets fonamentals.

Els i les adherents considerem que han donat resultat les pressions polítiques, tant al jutjat com a la fiscalia, ja que consideren que una persona sense antecedents penals, amb domicili i treball fix i amb una filla, té risc de fugida i de reincidir abans fins i tot de ser jutjada i condemnada. Aquests barems no s’apliquen als banquers, ni als polítics investigats per la fiscalia anticorrupció als quals es deixa en llibertat. Realment ens qüestionem l’anomenada “independència” del poder judicial pel que fa a la resta de poders dins d’un mal anomenat “estat de dret”.

Considerem que no hi ha cap motiu que justifiqui la seva detenció i menys el seu ingrés a la presó, la qual cosa suposa un clar abús de poder i una violació del dret a no ser privat de llibertat.

No calia un circ mediàtic com el muntat pels mossos d´esquadra, necessitats d’intentar donar exemple detenint i reprimint a persones i organitzacions que protesten i qüestionen el sistema sense ser canalitzades pels “agents socials autoritzats i ensinistrats”.

Nosaltres anem amb la cara descoberta, no amaguem les nostres accions, les considerem justes i sense perill per a la integritat de ningú, per tant descartem que els mossos d´esquadra hagin d’investigar molt per saber que fem o deixem de fer.

Ens preguntem quan hi haurà una fiscalia especial que investigui els banquers, els polítics corruptes i els empresaris que han creat una crisi que està portant a milions de persones a l’exclusió social i la misèria. Per a quan una web amb totes les fotos dels delinqüents refinats que són tractats com a senyors pels poders públics? Per a quan una web amb les fotos dels mossos que han mutilat amb boles de goma i picat a cops de porra als ciutadans? Senyor Puig això sí és violència i vostè sempre la justifica.

Considerem que aquest empresonament és una venjança per part del govern de la Generalitat i del seu cos armat. No han pogut assimilar que el dia de la Vaga General la CGT amb altres organitzaciones i col·lectius aglutinéssin a més de 15.000 persones al matí recorrent el centre de la ciutat i a la tarda a més de 50.000. El que es pretén és provocar la por entre la ciutadania, perquè no ens mobilitzem i acatem les polítiques econòmiques sense obrir boca i per a això necessiten crear una imatge de violents totalment prefabricada des d’alguna oficina.

Mai s’avançarà cap a un món mes just per a les treballadores i als treballadors més desfavorides, si el conjunt de la ciutadania es deixa acovardir per una minoria de persones que conformen el poder i que contra la raó solament tenen la força dels cossos armats que els obeeixen cegament.

Que no quedi cap dubte, seguirem sortint al carrer i protestant igual que van fer els nostres avis, per defensar la llibertat i una societat més justa, seguirem lluitant contra les injustícies, no permetrem que ens porteu a les condicions laborals i socials del segle XIX com esteu pretenent entre els banquers i els polítics.

The undersigned organizations and individuals we adhere to the following statement and we stand in solidarity with partner Laura Gomez demanding their immediate release.

On April 25 the magistrate judge’s no. 23 Barcelona decreed prison without bail to the Secretary of Organization of the CGT-Barcelona with charges of fire damage and indirectly, coercion, crime and public disorder offense against fundamental rights.

Actually we question the “independence” of the judiciary with regard to other powers in a so called “rule of law.”

We believe that there is no reason to justify his detention and under his imprisonment, which is a clear abuse of power and a violation of the right not to be deprived of liberty.

It was not necessary as a media circus by riding for the police, needs to try to repress and detain such persons and organizations who protest and challenge the system without being channeled through “social partners trained and authorized.”

We’ll go with the open face, do not hide our actions, we consider fair and without danger to the integrity of anyone, so that the rule for the police have investigated a lot to know that we do or we do.

We wonder if there will be a special prosecutor to investigate the bankers, corrupt politicians and businessmen who have created a crisis that is driving millions of people in social exclusion and poverty. When a website with pictures of all that sophisticated criminals are treated by the authorities as a gentlemen? When a website with pictures of young men who have maimed and crushed rubber ball with a truncheon blows to the citizens? Mr. Puig is yes and you always justifies violence.

We believe this is a revenge imprisonment by the government of the Government and its armed body. Have not realized that the day of the General Strike the CGT with other organizations and groups bring together more than 15,000 people in the morning touring the city center and over 50,000 in the afternoon. The aim is to cause fear among the citizens, because we obey and mobilize economic policies without opening his mouth and this need to create an image of violent fully fabricated from an office.

Never progress will be made towards a better world for workers and disadvantaged workers, if the whole society is left to intimidate a minority of people who make it against the power of reason alone have the strength of armed forces that obey blindly.
