A policeman shoots at an innocent wild boar in central Barcelona and misses, wounding his own partner in the leg
The wounded police agent has has been transferred to Hospital but his condition is favorable. The animal was eventually murdered a few steets away.

A patrol of the hated Autonomous Police found a wild boar in the central streets of the Catalan capital. The police presence rather upset the beast, which replied to the agression of the officers and ”threatened to attack one of them” according to a ploice statement.
The agent drew his gun and bravely shot the animal at point blank range, but the wily boar dodged the bullet which injured another police pig in the leg. The victim was taken to the Hospital but is said to be out of danger. Fortunately no public were reported injured in the shootout.
The boar fled the scene, slipping behind parked cars, doubling back and dashing across intersections, with a mob of Catalan police in hot pursuit. Finally she was killed, in the upper class area of Sarria just a few blocks from her forest home,.
