Un documental sobre el mite del progrès a l´Amazonia

Els pobles indígenes amazònics de Bolivia manifesten el seu rebuig a la destrucció dels seus teritoris, que són afectats per la construccions d´infraestructures als seus territoris, els quals són afectats per la construcció d´infraestructures vials funcionals a la imprlementació de projectes extractivistes. El mite del progrès desembarca a l´imaginari estatal i als seus programes, mentre els pobles reclamen poder decidir els seus destins.

*We wondered where our wages went*

*We wasted most by paying rent*

*Since, we’ve learnt to change our lot*

*Now we’re living in a squat*

Two weeks ago we occupied the Aylesbury estate. The first block we took was violently evicted and we opened a new block, one the council had smashed up to prevent us from occupying. We are doing it up and plan to stay.

Chickens have Rights to a Good Clucking Life

Here in our occupied center we have about 26 chickens, pretty fat and healthy, and they give us maybe 12 eggs a day, depending on the season. Sometimes they just go on strike.

They run free but are usually locked up at night in case of wild animals getting in. The yard is too small so we feed them kitchen scraps, old recycled bread and market veg, they love it! Sometimes they get a little grain, you can still find GMO-free here in Spain. We all take care of them so sometimes they get fed twice! Como crear el ‘Free-money’ que podría Salvar Grecia y Sabotear el Capitalismo

Si aceptamos que el capitalismo depredador nos lleva hacia el desastre financiero y ambiental necesitamos una alternativa vigorosa y atractiva que la gente puede elegir al empeorar las cosas. Una solución posible puede ser el dinero local “stamp-scrip ‘ (freemoney/freigeld), que poco a poco pierde su valor si no se gasta, por lo que la gente le gasta lo antes posible y se expande la economía local. No sirve de nada el acaparamiento de capital en este esquema.

El dinero ‘Stamp-scrip’ se utilizó con éxito asombroso en Austria durante la gran depresión, donde, por ejemplo, la ciudad a la quiebra de Worgl se transformó en sólo 14 meses, (luego el sistema fue prohibido por el estado y los bancos), pero menos bien en los Estados Unidos, donde fue organizado en una manera diferente.
