Turkish riot police have fired tear gas and plastic bullets after transgender rights activists gathered in Istanbul in defiance of a ban on marching. Several dozen activists turned up and were surrounded by police, after which scuffles began, with one man reportedly tearing up a gay rights banner. The march was banned in order to “safeguard security and public order”.
update Istanbul Pride march on 26th June banned
Istanbul Pride, which has occurred annually since 2003 and was due to be held on 26 June, was also prohibited. At last year’s Istanbul Pride, police used water cannon and tear gas to break up the crowd. The order banning this year’s marches means anyone taking part in either event risks facing intervention by the security forces.Organisers of Istanbul Pride denounced the ban as a “flagrant violation of the constitution and the law”.

TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ, Chiapas
The Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) said today that the mobilization y protest actions of the peoples, communities, organizations and activists in Chiapas, the government is losing the media war against the teachers’ movement that impugns the education reform.
“We don’t know about the rest of the country, but at least in Chiapas, those above are losing the media war. We have seen entire families, in rural and urban surroundings, supporting the teachers,” the EZLN asserts in a public comunicado.
And it’s not referring to support of the type “this fist is seen,” “the people united, will never be defeated,” and the slogans that despite distances in calendars and geographies, continue being the same –says the guerrilla group– “because underneath continues being the fundamental principle of solidarity.” If in previous mobilizations of the rebel…
CASE DROPPED!!!..the 2nd part of the Pandora operation against the “anarchist terrorism”
The National Court said that after eight months of investigation it has only been proved that the nine detainees are active in anarchist collectives, but there is not even evidence that they participated in the commission of any crimes.
As we knew from the beginning our comrades are amazing occupiers, resisters and community activists fighting the plague of corrupt capitalist evicters who are destroying the planet.. NOT ”TERRORISTS” even in the state’s wide definition of the term.
The state is the real terrorist, spending millions to cynically try to suppress our movement by imprisoning activists, intimidating supporters, raiding the Occupied Social Centers and promoting a vast campaign of media lies….but this time THEY HAVE FAILED.
In fact more people than ever have shown solidarity against obvious Frame-Ups and more people identify, support or at least recognise the anarchist movement as progressive, necessary and useful.
The Pandora II operation used about 500 police agents / VICTOR SERRI
from Diagonal rough translation of part.. “The accused attended certain meetings, which gathered in public places, and took part without referring to any events related to terrorist activities.”
This is one of the conclusions reached by the Central Court of Instruction No. 3 of the National Court after eight months of investigation into the nine people arrested, on October 28, 2015, in Barcelona and Manresa in the framework of the second phase Pandora operation against the alleged “anarchist terrorism.” One detainee was remanded in custody for several weeks.
All the arrested in the Pandora and Piñata raids were related to two anarchists jailed without evidence for allegedly bombing a church! The Spanish right, who control the courts, were furious about this as it referred to the mega crimes of the church in aiding the fascist dictatorship, many of the arrested anarchists were accused of being in a prisoners support group for the two, Fransico and Monica. The campaign for their release continues with hope after the Piñata raids cases have fallen apart.
The head of the court, Judge Carmen Lamena, has decided to shelve the case against these nine persons, who the Catalan police accused of belonging to a terrorist organization.
….Records made the day of this second phase of the operation Pandora, note that “despite the elapsed time” researchers have not yet contributed any result of the study of computer devices and documents seized. The case also refers to the judgement of Monica and Francisco, in which the court ruled out the existence of an “anarchist terrorist conspiracy”…
‘piñata’ is a multi wrapped parcel full of goodies that’s hung up at kids birthdays and whacked by blindfolded children till all the treasures fly out.
….”The only result obtained by researchers is the finding that the investigated relate to people from anarchist collectives. They have been limited to report on their meetings, trips and visits to prisons,” explains the document.
“Faced with such poor results, I believe that they have not obtained in the present process objective data accessible to third parties and verifiable that may be considered evidence to state, not even circumstantially, participation in the alleged offences”…….
Huge solidarity demo against the earlier raids and arrests.. attacking one of us they attack us all..
La magistrada finaliza el texto afirmando que no hay avances que permitan continuar la investigación y que el Ministerio Fiscal se ha limitado a “afirmar de manera genérica la existencia de indicios sin concreción alguna sobre persona determinada”.
by Mirella Machancoses López A couple of months ago, I received my copy of #Feminism: A Nano-Game Anthology. It took me only two days to read all the games, and I was very excited about testing a lot of them. So, first of all, I needed to figure out how to set up a time and place where we could play. I realised that some of the games are written to be played by only women but others required the presence of men for play to be the most interesting.
The second problem was choosing a space. We (as Producciones Gorgona) don’t have a meeting place so, we needed to find one. After thinking a lot about it, we highlighted the characteristics of the place we need:
Two or more rooms (so we can play at least two games at the same time).
Intimate
Places we could sleep
So, finally, to avoid paying a lot of money, I decided to offer my parents’ house in the countryside. We could sleep there, it was big enough, and it was intimate. In addition, we decided to go for a whole weekend of feminism games, where Saturday and Saturday night would be for women only, and the Sunday the men would be welcome.
And we did so last weekend (May 14-15, 2016). We loved all the games we had time to test. So, I will not focus this review on the anthology as a whole, but on our experiences of running the games we chose.

A disgraced Spanish banker accused of fraud and embezzlement is to come out on bail thanks to high-ranking members of the Francisco Franco Foundation.
Mario Conde, 67, was arrested in April amid allegations of money laundering a vast fortune embezzled when he was head of Banesto bank.
He was remanded in jail pending an investigation but could be granted release for €300,000 bail to await trial from the comfort of his one of his several homes in Spain.
It emerged on Wednesday that the financial guarantee has been given by the Alonso Garcia brothers, Jaime Francisco and Jose Angel, who used four properties on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura as a guarantee. You can be sure Mario has millions of black money stashed around the globe to pay back his fascist friends.
The brothers are high ranking members of the Francisco Franco Foundation, an organization dedicated to the memory of General Franco, the dictator who ran Spain with an iron fist for 40 years until his death in 1975.
Conde, who became a symbol of the “get-rich-quick” culture in Spain in the late 1980s and early 1990s, was chairman of Banesto when it was taken over in 1993 after an audit revealed a shortfall of €3.6 billion euros ($4.1 billion).
He was sentenced to 20 years in jail in 2002 for embezzlement and fraud but was released on parole in 2005 and declared himself insolvent to avoid paying the compensation ordered by the courts when he was sentenced for his offenses at Banesto.
Since the fall of Mario Conde hundreds of politicians and businessmen have been charged with corruption in Spain, but all except one or two are still free.
