Reports that Orlando gunman Omar Mateen had been a regular at the gay nightclub he attacked and used gay dating apps have led to speculation that he was motivated by internalised homophobia. But what is it, and could it have anything to do with the worst shooting in recent US history?

Investigators are still trying to establish what led a 29-year-old security guard from Florida to murder 49 people and injure dozens more as they partied in popular gay nightclub Pulse.

They are examining indications Mateen was inspired by radical Islamism, following revelations that he pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and the FBI had investigated him twice previously for terror links.

Benvingudes en aquest Contrainfos 120, avui que el sol ja escalfa fort les nostres closques perque ja ha començat el juny i , com diu el refrany, nosaltres aixequem el puny!

1. Escratxe a Bravo Solano

Comencem el programa repassant els darrers actes arran del Banc Expropiat. Com sabeu, després d´una setmana intensa d´aldarulls als carrers de Gràcia, el 2 de juny, el moviment solidari amb el Banc okupat va organitzar un escratxe als peus de l´oficina del propietar impulsor del desallotjament, el conegut especulador Bravo Solano, que com de costum, va gaudir de tot un generós dispositiu de mossos d´esquadra al seu servei.

2. Banc Sorpresa, reokupen el Banc

I el dissabte 4 de juny, activistes del Banc Expropiat aconseguiren foradar l´impenetrable paret difonent un video que va descolocar a la policia, doncs sabien que els companys estaven dins, però per on coll havien entrat?

3. Manifestació Banc Sorpresa

Després de ridiculs i suors, els mossos d´esquadra desallotjaren de nou el banc. Una nova manifestació recorré els carrers de Gràcia.

4. Concentració Prou Impunitat, prou brutalitat

I el diumenge 5 de juny es realitzaren actes al Raval contra la impunitat que gaudeixen en aquest país el cos policial, després de les absolucions pel cas de la mort de Juan Andrés Benítez i del cas d´Ester Quintana entre d´altres. Més clar l´aigua: estem fartes d´impunitat i brutalitat. Ni oblit ni perdó.

5. Aniversari de latele.cat

I recuperant una efemèride del mes passat, latele.cat, és a dir, qui us parla, vam celebrar el 13è aniversari a la plaça del Sol, reinvindicant un cop més la llibertat d´expressió i l´autogestió d´un mitjà de comunicació con el nostre.

6. Radicalment Feministes

Celebració pels 40 a nys de feminisme a Catalunya

7. Usurpa, 20 anys

Aquest mes també hem celebrat els 20 anys de Info-Usurpa, l´agenda embelmpatica dels centres socials okupats de Barcelona i rodalies. A Can Batlló s´inaugurà una expo i el Contrainfos va tenir el gust d´estrenar el seu reportatge que us difondrem en breu titolat “Usurpa, 20 anys d´agenda okupa”

8. Sembrant Poder Popular

I a Poble Sec, a la vessant de la muntanya de Montjuic, s´ha recuperat un espai on es va plantar un roure en homenatge al company Pablo Molano, reforçant el compromís de lluita i autonomia per part dels seus amics i companys.

9. Solidaritat Rebel

I acabem el programa amb un video musical de solidaritat amb la companya empresonada el 13 d´abril i recentment extraditada amb l´acusació d haver expropiat un banc.

I fins aqui aquest calurós contrainfos, en un moment en que estem treballant de valent per recuperar l´emissió , com sempre us recordem que ens falten mans però no ganes per sostenir aquest projecte contrainformatiu.

Kids Magician Waves her Wand..and Occupies Youth Learning Centre!

The occupation is of the former HQ of the Botanical Institute and the action is the starting point of a conference on alternative pedagogies and self-management organized by Co-maternity and shared parenting Collective Babàlia and the Ateneo Cooperative Base.  (‘comaternitat i criança compartida Babàlia i l’Ateneu Cooperatiu La Base’)   by David Bouactividades-en-babalia_1

The building is located on Paseo de Jean Forestier at the foot of Montjuïc, it was mass occupied around 2 pm, after a magician and a graffiti tried unsuccessfully to open the wall doing various street theatre  tricks .

An action was announced days had been via the Conference for Live Learning in Poble Sec barrio, promoted by the ‘La Base’ and their educational revolution section form Babàlia.

The ‘Fountain Square’ was the venue chosen to give the starting signal for a weekend full of activities such as lectures, concerts, workshops and a space for small children. According to the organizers, the aim of the conference is “to boost community building in the neighborhood, both among people and between generations for projects and spaces.”
