The 17-year-old arrested in the fatal shooting of 2 Jacob Blake protesters in Kenosha allegedly killed at least one unarmed man, and could get life in prison for murder. …
The criminal complaint against Kyle Rittenhouse was released Thursday, and it says the first person the Illinois teenager allegedly shot, Joseph Rosenbaum, “appeared to be unarmed for the duration of video” reviewed by investigators.
Prosecutors say Rosenbaum appeared to throw an object at Rittenhouse before the fatal shooting, and a second video apparently shows the object in question was nothing more than a plastic bag.
Rittenhouse is also charged with first-degree intentional homicide of Anthony Huber. Prosecutors say Huber — seen with a skateboard in several videos — approached Rittenhouse, who was lying on his back…
The worst danger of ‘natural’ gas is irreversible climate chaos. With the new IPCC report it is seen that gas cannot be a “bridge fuel” to reach renewables, there is no time. Furthermore, it is increasingly accepted that gas is just as dangerous as coal, (and fracking gas at least twice as dangerous), due to the inevitable methane leaks, hidden by the industry. It is way past time to abandon “natural” gas in favor of renewables.
And there is another reason to stop gas, especially LNG, because of its high danger, as we see in the reports below:
Hazards of liquefied natural gas (LNG) summary by Choco Toxico ..
To transport natural gas, it is subjected to a liquefying process, cooling it to -161º C. In this liquid state, the gas volume is reduced 600 times.
Once liquefied, it is transported in so-called methane tankers, capable of loading between 120 and 200 million liters of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
Arrived at its destination, the LNG is transferred to huge tanks, where it will be stored in a liquid state, until it is regasified for sale and distribution, hence these are called regasification plants……….

Source August 27, 2020 The Israeli authorities today demolished the Palestinian Bedouin village of al-Araqeeb, in the Naqab desert, for the 177th time since 2000 and for the sixth time this year, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Israeli police broke into the village and tore down the tents and tin structures, leaving the […]
“Black athletes should take all this fame the white man gave to us because we fought for his entertainment, and we can turn it around. Instead of beating up each other, we will use our fame for freedom.”
The statement above is from former Heavyweight boxer Muhammed Ali in the late 1960s, after the boxing commission had stripped him of his boxing crown.
Yesterday, we witnessed once again how athletes, especially Black athletes, are using the status, their high profiles, their fame, in the cause of freedom. The Milwaukee Bucks professional basketball team decided that they could not play their schedule playoff game against the Orlando Magic, just days after the police shot Jacob Blake seven times in the back in Kenosha Wisconsin.
Instead of playing basketball, the Milwaukee Bucks players read a statement to the news media:
“The past four months have shed a light on the ongoing racial…
We won’t back down in defending Women’s rights here at DWR. If commenting on Sasha White’s thread is enough to get one in hotwater, so be it. There is too much at stake to sit down and shut up over this issue.
Women (adult human females) are currently being unfairly ostracized, doxxed, and harassed for defending their rights, boundaries, and safety in society. We will not bend the knee to TRA demands here. Not ever.
“An assistant literary agent made international headlines this week when she was fired from her job at Tobias Literary Agency in New York. Sasha White, a feminist who had started her career at Tobias as an intern, announced that she had been fired from the agency on Monday for expressing her “feminist stance” on Twitter.
White maintained two Twitter accounts—one professional, and one personal. Her professional account, @SashaSemyonovna, stated her role at Tobias while her personal account, @iamGrushenka, was largely anonymous until recently and states no connection to her former employer.
In a statement to reporter Jesse Singal, President of Tobias Literary Agency, Lane Heymont, claimed that White was fired because she “did not specify her views were her own in her Twitter bio, thus suggesting and it was perceived she was speaking on behalf of the agency and those views are not in line with our beliefs. Therefore we had to part ways.”
When asked by Singal specifically what tweet violated their policies, Heymont pointed to a retweet White had made on her personal account of a post explaining the difference between how women and trans-women experience male violence.
We are not women because we are vulnerable to male violence. We are vulnerable to male violence because we are women. So TW, being vulnerable to male violence does not make you women. It makes you a sub-group of males who are vulnerable to male violence because you are GNC.
US liquefied natural gas giant Cheniere Energy has evacuated and temporarily suspended operations at its Sabine Pass LNG project in Louisiana as Hurricane Laura approaches the US Gulf Coast.
The facility, where five enormous ‘production trains’ are operational and a sixth is under construction, is located in Louisiana’s Cameron Parish, in the weaker side of the storm.
Sabine Pass, which was in the path of Laura, was built on the cheap by converting an Import LNG plant to Export. But the giant tanks immediately sprung dangerous leaks, from 14 points around the base of a second LNG storage tank (Energywire, Feb. 12 2018) and was finally ordered by PHMSA to close two of the enormous tanks.
Cherniere claimed there was ”no danger to the public”, ie. that only the 500 workers would get blown to pieces if the liquid cryogenic gas got to the sea at the right dilution. Now with 5 times the production a failed tank of LNG gas (compressed 500 times) could explode all, potentially with the force of up to 30 Horoshima nukes, destroying at least the city of Port Arthur across the estuary. see Peligros del Gas Natural Licuado (GNL)/
In 2018 they were lucky. Safety corners are cut and environmental and climate costs ignored in the capitalist/ nationalist race to ‘Make America Great’.
A hurricane caused explosion of Sabine Pass or another new LNG export plant could make the colossal Lebanese port explosion look like a firework. It might even pause the US drive to dominate the energy and plastics industries and force the continued use of fossil fuels.
/continues further down.. + CANCER ALLEY RESISTANCE + THE METHANE BOMB
The world should ban US Frack Gas, Frack Oil and Frack Plastics.. The US frackers are EXEMPT from clean water laws and get all kinds of hidden subsidies with all opposition steamrollered, while permanently poisoning aquifers, releasing mega amounts of methane which isn’t even measured, destroying people’s health causing cancers and deformities with total impunity, killing animals, insects, fish, birds, etc and abandoning wells right, left and center to frack new ones, leaving toxic ponds….. etc etc.
Why should we accept their ecocidal Frack Gas/Oil/Plastic?? We have far too much already, there’s a glut of fossil fuels, and it’s just adding to Climate Chaos.. It is just to give the US bully regime more profits and help them screw the Russians? Why should we help NATO lunatic morons surround and provoke Russia with more and more bases and nuclear missiles..
More irony if Hurricane Laura caused chemical fire in ‘Frack Plastic’ (LPG) industry which promotes Climate enhanced hurricanes.
Residents of an area just west of Lake Charles, Louisiana have been ordered to
shelter in place, close all windows and turn off air conditioning, due to a fire at a chemical plant in the wake of Hurricane Laura. Governor John Bel Edwards himself tweeted at the residents of Westlake, Moss Bluff and Sulphur to“shelter in place, close your windows and doors and TURN OFF YOUR AIR CONDITIONING UNITS.” Also ironic as many people still have no electricity. “There is a chemical fire,” he added. “Stay inside and wait for additional direction from local officials.” Tons of chlorine falling in the lake may kill all remaining life. The Cameron parish issued a mandatory evacuation order starting at 1 pm Monday, according to local reports

Fire balloons and air raids ratchet up tension as Hamas pushes for the complete removal of Israel’s devastating siege. by Ali Adam26 Aug 2020 06:48 GMT
Israeli soldiers try to extinguish a blaze after balloons loaded with flammable materials were sent from Gaza [Reuters]
Gaza City – The threat of a new Gaza war continues to rise as Palestinians demand an end to the devastating 13-year-long blockade and Israel tightens the screws on Gaza’s economy while targeting Hamas positions.
Israeli warplanes and tanks bombed Hamas military sites early on Tuesday in response to the incendiary balloons launched from Gaza towards Israel’s south, according to an Israeli army statement.
It was the 16th day in a row that Israel launched attacks against Hamas’s infrastructure and agricultural land in the Gaza Strip. Gaza’s military factions did not respond on Wednesday, although they previously launched rockets towards Israel after attacks last week.
