Turkey: 124 lawsuits and almost 27 years in prison against Eren Keskin
The Turkish authorities file a total of 124 lawsuits against the co-president of the Human Rights Association, Eren Keskin. The total prison sentences against Keskin amounts to 26 years 9 months and 20 days.
Eren Keskin, co-president of the Human Rights Association (IHD), has been sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for her one-day job as editor-in-chief in solidarity with the newspaper Özgür Gündemhttps: closed by decree law.
Keskin wrote on her Twitter account, “Be in peace, you who make threats. This is the total of the sentences I have received so far. I have not used violence, I have not insulted anyone, I have not done any harm. I just think differently from those who run the state. 26 years … Are you relieved? »

Keskin wrote that a total of 124 lawsuits were brought against her, that she was sentenced to fines and prison terms, and that the total prison terms amount to 26 years 9 months and 20 days.
Huge amount of fines
Keskin said that the total of the fines received was 431,912 Turkish liras and that she had to pay 184,000 Turkish liras, otherwise the fine would become a prison sentence.

Keskin escribió que se presentaron un total de 124 demandas contra ella, que fue condenada a multas y a penas de prisión, y que el total de las penas de prisión asciende a 26 años 9 meses y 20 días.

Enorme cantidad de multas
Keskin dijo que el total de las multas recibidas era de 431.912 liras turcas y que debía pagar 184.000 liras turcas, de lo contrario la multa se convertiría en una pena de prisión.
