Things have been moving very rapidly as Taliban forces immediately closed in on Kabul after the end of the occupation. The US is frantically evacuating people, former Afghan officials are fleeing the country, and a transition to Taliban control is a done deal.
It’s long been obvious to anyone paying attention that the Taliban would regain control of the country when occupying western powers withdrew, but I don’t think anyone would’ve put money on it happening this quickly.
A few interesting questions have come up about this, like for example how hilarious would it be if after spending twenty years and trillions of dollars and thousands of human lives “fighting the Taliban”, the Taliban suddenly resumed power as a US puppet regime?

In the case of Brazil, former BRICS stalwart reduced to the status of a proto-neo-colony under an aspiring Soprano-style “captain”, the Men Who Run the Show applied standard procedure.
First they sent the Deep State, as in CIA’s William Burns. Then they sent National Security, as in advisor Jake Sullivan. Both visits delivered the same message: toe the line – or else.
Nuances do apply. The Deep State wants the current proto-neo-colony status of Brazil unchanged, and hopefully deepened – as it strikes the “B” in BRICS out of deeper cooperation with the Russia-China strategic partnership.

Indeed there have been allegations that the US occupation was influenced by the secret drugs lobbies as much as by a desire for revenge for the 9/11 bombings, which in reality had little to do with Afghanistan or the Taliban.
According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), poppy cultivation in the Islamic Republic increased by 37% last year alone.

At the same time, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that heroin use in the U.S. more than doubled among young adults in the last ten years, while 45% of heroin users were said to be hooked on prescription opioid painkillers as well.

The main charges concerned the support and promotion of the Network of Revolutionary cells (SRB), insurrectional anarchism, as well as blackmail and harm of others property. SRB focused for several years on sabotage of the property of police and capitalists.
So far, no one was convicted and condemned for these actions.
The defendant Lukáš Borl admittedly confessed to spraying the walls of prison lettering “desire for freedom the repression will not stop” and “death to the state”.
He also admitted that he was identifying by amended identity documents. The damage he caused to the prison, he paid. The Court in these two points acknowledged Borl guilty, but dropped his punishment.
According to the Head of Senate, Dagmar Šebková the crimes were not serious and also happened a long time ago.
The prosecutor Václav Richter demanded for all without distinction imprisonment for the duration of three years, which would be conditionally postponed to the probationary period of three years.
However, the court liberated the defendants. The judgment was not declared competent, the prosecutor appealed.
