In response to the escalation of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen, our armed forces carried out a successful special operation, thank God the Most High, which targeted the airports of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, oil refining facilities in Abu Dhabi, and various strategic and sensitive sites. This successful operation was carried out with 5 ballistic missiles and a large number of drones, which hit their targets with precision.

Referring to the regime’s efforts to control and delete NGOs it despises for their independent political line, a Bangkok Post editorial states the obvious: “NGOs in society might be entering a dark age.”
It observes:
The government is jumping on the bandwagon of nationalist governments, like the one in China, or those increasingly looking inward, like India’s, to tighten monitoring of foreign NGOs….
Like it or not, the anti-NGO sentiment might signal the end of Thailand as an open society, too….
So far, society has tolerated NGOs. Even if some of their campaigns touch on politically sensitive issues, the government has never expelled any NGO.
Yet the bill — which is to be tabled in parliament for its final reading soon — will become a game-changer that turns Bangkok into a second Beijing…. If passed, it will give the authorities the power to further audit and regulate NGOs.
Under military and military-backed regimes, political space has always been limited and controlled. In general terms, these regimes – including the current despots – have concentrated on locals identified as enemies of regime, status quo and monarchy. At times this has let to massive bloodletting in order to maintain the status quo of the Cold War and post-Cold War eras.
As the (usually hopeless) National Human Rights Commission points out, this backward-facing regime has made the so-called justice system a political weapon.
The NHRC reports that “violations of people’s rights in the judicial process were the most common form of complaints lodged with the … NHRC … last year.” It added that the “complaints concerned the Royal Thai Police, the Department of Corrections and the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc).”
We are unsure how the military-political agency ISOC fits into to a justice system. But this is the military’s and royalists’ Thailand.
On the ground, repression continues unabated, mostly in the name of the keystone of the ruling class, the monarchy. A recent example is the police raid on one of the truly independent publishing outfits in the country, Same Sky, publisher of Fa Diaw Kan.
Some 30 police – yes, 30 – “raided the Same Sky publishing house on Thursday, but failed to find a book deemed a threat to national security.”
They mean the monarchy.
Is The US State Department Fomenting Civil War In Thailand …
The police were desperate to find a book “Sathaban Phra Maha Kasat and Sangkhom Thai” (The Monarchy and Thai Society). The “book contains the speech human rights lawyer Arnon Nampa delivered at a rally at the Democracy Monument on Aug 3, 2020 calling for reform of the [monarchy].”
Yes, that’s a book the authorities fear is somehow threatening to bring down the whole ruling class and its state. All very Nazi-like, or borrowing from the Post above, rather more like the Chinese Party-State versus the independent media in Hong Kong.
The hordes of brown-shirted cops “did seize mobile phones and editor Thanapol Eawsakul’s computer, to search for incriminating evidence.” Maybe they’ll just put this evidence on his machines, as they have been known to do in the recent past.
Same Sky stated: “The publishing house does not distribute the book…”. But Same Sky is popular among those who oppose the military-backed regime and has a history of critical and well-researched analysis of the monarchy.
Add this to recent efforts to further constrain the already cowed media and Thailand’s future looks like a dark age, and not just for NGOs.

The Russian Embassy in Washington has responded to recent statements by senior US government officials who assured that Moscow can invade Ukraine at any time, even from the territory of neighboring Belarus, and has reiterated that “Russia does not plan to attack anyone” , while the movement of troops on their own soil is their “sovereign right”.

The ruling US Arms industry and contractors are crying out for a new war, after losing the great ‘trillion dollar banquet’ of the 20 year Afghan occupation.
Hundreds more NATO War Games are imminent on Russia’s borders. The US has invited 60 nations to new ‘Exercises’ near Russia’s Black Sea beaches. The Nato nations are militarizing, with their proud ‘macho moron’ generals forced to order the latest US weapons at mind boggling expense. Cowed by Covid, there is no public outcry.
KIev is filling up with more weapons than it can handle , more Nato troops are landing in states next to Russia, and new Nuclear missiles are soon to be rolled out.
But this is the ‘kicker’.. Ukraine is now controlled by the west Ukrainian nazis, gearing up with their new weapon gifts to attack the Russian minority in the Donbass enclave, which for centuries was part of Russia.
The last time the European nazis attacked Russia they lost 27 MILLION Soviet citizens in repulsing them. For the last 30 years NATO has crept closer and closer, until they are militarizing Ukraine, and all bordering states, just a few minutes by nuclear missile from Moscow.
The analogy could be if Texas and California had left a declining USA (like Ukraine left the disbanding USSR) and were courted and joined a Russian Military Pact (like Nato did to Eastern Europe) . And were supplied via Russia with missiles and weapons to attack a small group of US rebels holding out in North Texas (like the Russians in Donbass) while calling all the Russian backed states in the region to a military crusade to stop the evil US agressor invading Texas.
The analogy is not accurate of course, but it gives an idea of the Russian point of view.
This is ‘Putin’s Red Line’. Nazis shall nor pass. Desperate for a capitalist war the US hopes to force Russia to intervene, either way they sell multi billions in armaments.
Russia‘has an economy the size of Italy’ , a limited air force, just one ancient aircraft carrier and a single foreign base, in Syria, against the USA’s 750 bases and trillion dollar “defense” budget.
It’s ludicrous to say Russia wants bankrupt ‘basket case’ Ukraine, the Russian Federaion is already gigantic, stretching almost to Alaska, with 150 nationalities… The Pentagon and CIA’s idea is to provoke a war, maybe with a false flag attack in Donbass.
Russia can only equal the USA in Nuclear Arms. Therefore it would be quickly forced to surrender or go Nuclear. “Limited nuclear war” wouldn’t work either against US air power. The US ‘doctrine’ of limited nuclear war is just for intimidating smaller rivals.
Russia appeals to the far right populists to stop playing with fire. This is partly how the 2nd World War started. Eastern Europe has many ethnic national minorites stranded in nation States that hate them. Hitler’s excuse for invading Poland, for example, was that ethnic Germans were being murdered. As Europe drifts ever more to the Right, attacks and massacres of such minorities can force their parent States to declare the ‘War to End All Wars’..

“We have explained that we cannot accept any demands regarding our Armed Forces on our own soil,” he declared.

La industria armamentista de EEUU y sus contratistas están clamando por una nueva guerra, después de perder el gran ‘banquete de billones de dólares’ de los 20 años de ocupación afgana.
Cientos más de juegos de guerra de la OTAN son inminentes en las fronteras de Rusia. Estados Unidos ha invitado a 60 naciones a nuevos ‘Ejercicios’ cerca de las playas del Mar Negro de Rusia. Faced with a massive public backlash against the incompetent corrupt Tory government, and the LACK OF COVID DEATHS and hospitalisations the Government has caved in and abandoned what yesterday were essential scientifically proven measures.
Finally we are realizing the truth that vaccines don’t work, 4 out of 5 new Covid cases are among the fully vaxxed in the UK (Govt stats), and cause horrific short and long term side effects.
The British goverment fears a general uprising as it becomes clear that the vaccines don’t work anymore, and the boosters for only 2 months or less, leaving us with Natural Immunuity crashing BELOW ZERO. Doubling down on a totally failed vaccine campaign in the midst of the ultra mild Omicron variant is finally a step too far for the English authorities.
However quarantine after positive tests continues, and all the authoritarian restrictions are only on hold for the moment. Perhaps until a more deadly variant appears.
