Faced with the Cutbacks and the new debt announced, we redouble our unity and resistance

On 12/13, an open meeting of the “Self-call for the suspension of payment and investigation of the debt” was held, convened by the member organizations of the space after the assumption of Javier Milei and the deployment of an adjustment plan on the popular sectors
Given the announcements of the new government, we call for a response in the broadest unity.
Milei’s mask is falling. The mega-adjustment and devaluation that he promised to the IMF, along with the commitment to pay the debt, are the only thing that remains of the campaign rhetoric. Not to mention “caste”.
With the first announcements, it has been clearly shown that it is the government of the dominant classes and their international bosses, without mediation. With Caputo they assume those directly responsible for the debt and looting of Argentina. They come for everything.

The crumbs with which it boasts of helping the recipients of the planned misery do not even come close to compensating for the incentivized hyperinflation and the announced adjustment.
It is a brutal attack against the working people, the territories, the bodies and all of nature, in order to unload the full weight of the crisis on them: immediate devaluation of 118%;

Drastic increase in transportation, water and energy; state layoffs and maximum delay in their income; the same in retirements and social benefits; closure or degradation of organizations and public policies for the defense of our Sovereignty, Rights and Social Justice; new awards for exporters and importers including a new nationalization of their doubtful debts; deepening of the dependent, extractivist and debtor model.
The vaunted Freedom will only exist for price-forming monopolies, banks and speculators.

They tell us that “there is no money,” but they intend to continue deriving every penny produced in the country, what was obtained from the looting of our natural assets and the privatization of state companies, to “honor” said scam.
Multiplying it with the contracting of more and more debt to finance its anti-popular program and fulfill its commitments to global Power, landowners, food companies, oil and mining companies, banks and investment funds, pharmaceutical companies and the system media that justify their lies and other abuses.
It is announced at the same time, as so many other times, that these policies of adjustment and surrender will be accompanied by the deepening of repression and the criminalization of those of us who demonstrate against them.
Faced with this situation, we call to unite in action from the enormous diversity of the popular field. We call to unite against surrender and submission and to defend our right to organize, to express ourselves and to protest.
There is no time to lose. This December 20 we call to mobilize in the broadest unity, in a first massive milestone in the fight against the attack unleashed.
We call to remember and update, throughout the country, the heroic deed of that 19 and 20 of 2001, when the fed up, hungry and indignant people rose up against the same policies that the Milei government seeks to impose and that led to the collapse and a subsequent inheritance even worse than the current one.

Remembering the sovereign decision of that moment, achieved with popular reaction and applauded by Congress, to suspend payments on a debt that had already been judicially recognized as fraudulent since its origins during the dictatorship.
Not in our name!
It is time to reject all payments and break with the IMF, investigate and punish those responsible and compensate the people and nature – the true creditors – for the crimes perpetrated by this very perverse mechanism, as pointed out by the Popular Trial against the Debt and the IMF, concluded three years ago on these same dates.
Unlike what the new government proposes, we say that THERE ARE options. Neither hyperinflation, nor precariousness, nor adjustment, nor permanent looting are inexorable.

We call to strengthen the broadest unity in action, in the streets and in every necessary place, to generate the conditions and build those alternatives in solidarity and collectively.
To give continuity to the long history of resistance that our People have been able to lead, to deepen and open new experiences of exchange, debate and collective construction of the country and the world that we need and are possible.
We meet next December 20 in a new step of struggle and hope!
For our rights and sovereignty – Enough adjustment and looting – Scams do not pay
Out with the IMF – The only debt is with the people and nature
