These 5 people on the civil demonstration were murdered by Turkish drone fire. The demonstration and convoy continued and occupies the Dam which the mercenaries, including many ex ISIS and Al Qaeda, must cross to continue to destroy, massacre and loot. Many more people were injured.

➡️ Today thousands of cars from all North-East Syria gathered in a convoy to reach the Tishreen Dam and make a human shield action in support of the SDF.
💥 The convoy, composed by families, journalists, institutions, civilians and youth was deliberately attacked by the fascist Turkish State through genocidal airstrikes, causing deaths and injuries.
Turkey attacked the civilian demonstration.
Today, 8th of January, thousands of people from all over the region went to the Tishrin water dam to stand side by side with the SDF. Despite Turkey attacking civilians, the resistance remain unbroken.
The Autonomous Administration called on international institutions and forces to stop the attacks by the Turkish state. At the same time, it called on the population to take action to protect the dam and support the SDF fighters fighting against it.
💢Turkish state continues to bomb Tishrin💢
Yesterday, 8 January, people travelled to Tishrin to protest against the attacks from SNA/Turkey and to protect the dam from Turkey’s bombs. Turkey bombed the convoy and 5 friends were martyred and 15 injured. The friends continued and thousands of people arrived at the dam. Turkey’s attacks were defeated with the Revolutionary People’s War.
Tishrin has been constantly bombed for a month, leaving no opportunity to make repairs, and now the Autonomous Administration has confirmed the dam is damaged will collapse if Turkey continues its attacks. If the dam collapses 2 billion m³ of water will flood massive areas of land. It will destroy land, houses, and lives.

Update on Recent Developments in Tishreen Dam
Turkish warplanes have conducted multiple airstrikes on the Tishreen Dam and its surrounding areas. These attacks coincide with ground attack by Turkish-backed mercenary factions on villages located north of the Tishreen Dam and southeast of Manbij. Intense clashes are ongoing between the Manbij Military Council forces and the mercenary groups.
The mercenary attacks are supported by Turkish aerial bombardments using warplanes and UCAVs, as well as heavy artillery shelling. The clashes are continuing across multiple axes.
In Kobani, Turkish UCAVs targeted a civilian car in the village of Girik, as well as the village of Aslanki, located south of Kobani, subjected to artillery shelling.
The risk of a catastrophic collapse of the Tishreen Dam is increasing. The Turkish state will bear full responsibility for any disaster that may occur at the Dam or other areas in Syria due to the ongoing Turkish air and artillery strikes. These attacks reached a peak intensity earlier this morning and are continuing at this time.

This morning, January 9, 2025, in response to Turkey’s continued attacks on the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northeast Syria (Rojava, DAANES), many young people blocked flight check-in at Milan Malpensa.
The response they received from airport staff and law enforcement was encirclement and abuse of violence on the young protesters. Some activists were violently separated from the rest of the group and seized. One of them was isolated and taken to a small room: when he was released, he claimed to have been punched and thrown against the wall.
The entire group was surrounded by security forces and for five hours they were prevented from leaving the airport.
