16th Anniversary of the CSO Kan Kolmo
Against all odds…
We are celebrating the anniversary of the CSO KAN KOLMO again!!
We have been resisting for 16 years, and although the threat continues, we want to celebrate that, for another year, we continue to corrode the suffocating normality of Girona.
That is why, this year we have prepared a very special anniversary, with lots of love and activities for all tastes:
A bioconstruction workshop where we will build a hazelnut dome/lunch- cigalonada/ a talk to debate and analyze the housing situation -both necessary and poignant at this time and in this space- concerts, dinner… and of course, don’t miss it… The famous Kan Kolmo cabaret
We are expecting you on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 February.
We know we always say this, but… what if this were the last one?
Let’s enjoy it until the end

On December 12 the Courts once again FAILED to make us abandon what is an autonomous, common, assembly-run, committed and above all free space, for all the people who understand that this is not the best of societies.
A society based on inequalities and fear is not healthy, and that’s why we are occupying, to demonstrate that living differently is not a utopia. We organize ourselves in an assembly-like manner, promoting horizontality and the breaking of hierarchies.
We build safer, transfeminist and anti-fascist spaces, confronting the patriarchal, racist and speciesist model.

Contra tot pronòstic…
Tornem a celebrar l’aniversari del CSO KAN KOLMO!!
Ja fa 16 anys que resistim, i tot i que l’amenaça continua, volem celebrar que, un any més, continuem corroint l’asfixiant normalitat de Girona.
Per això, aquest any hem preparat un aniversari molt especial, amb molt d’amor i activitats per tots els gustos:
Taller de bioconstrucció on construirem una cúpula d’avellaner 
, dinar 
, cigalonada 
, xerrada per debatre i analitzar la situació de l’habitatge -tant necessari com punyent en aquest moment i en aquest espai- 
, concerts
, sopar 
… i com no, no podia faltar… El famós cabaret de Kan Kolmo ! 
Us esperem el dissabte 1 i el diumenge 2 de febrer.
Sabem que sempre ho diem, però… i si aquest fos l’últim?
Gaudim-nos fins el final

Declaration of principles.
The Kan Kolmo assembly is held every Wednesday at 8pm. This has the function of managing the space and the activities that are carried out there. It is a space open to anyone who wants to participate.
Kan Kolmo arises from the need to have a space where we can be consistent with our approaches.
We try to create new ways of living through which we learn to do things ourselves and for ourselves, in addition, we are committed to a one-on-one treatment, without hierarchies or leaders or discrimination of gender, race and species.
Because we do not want to relate through roles that push us to dominate each other. Because we do not want to delegate a large part of our lives to intermediaries and stop being protagonists.
Because we do not want to depend on the social norms derived from the current political-economic system, since this makes us slaves to fictitious needs, which we can only satisfy through salaried work; omitting and repressing the possibility of developing mechanisms to live autonomously.
Kan Kolmo is a space reclaimed from the bourgeoisie, with the intention of turning it into a meeting point to disseminate and share tools that allow us to carry out these approaches and, thus, to move towards other ways of living, away from the competitiveness and prevailing selfishness and closer to solidarity and companionship.
In addition, it is a space of confluence of individualities and collectives, which often generates initiatives, contributing to the creation of a breeding ground for agitation and disobedience. We understand these as legitimate strategies to carry out the changes that we propose beyond the walls of Kan Kolmo.
We reject private property because we understand it as the accumulation of goods that condemns there to be few who have a lot and many who have little. The city is full of unused spaces, which bourgeois families leave to die waiting to make more profits.
We do not believe in laws that legitimize anyone from benefiting economically from this situation, which is why we firmly believe that spaces belong to those who fill them with life and not to those who treasure them and leave them to rot.
We do not want to wait idly for institutions and public authorities to give us a space where they can impose their conditions on us.
We do not want a leisure space to be consumers of our free time, but rather we want to be active, creative and autonomous people, who create the space together so that we can feel it is ours.
