There are several reasons that people are opposed to Monsanto, but among the top two are their involvement with GMOs and their corruption of the U.S. government.
One of the more outrageous schemes they pulled off in recent years was to ensure the passing of the “Monsanto Protection Act” that essentially prevented courts from prosecuting Monsanto over GMO-related health issues and was allegedly partly written by the company itself.
Though the Act was only in effect for six months, similar bills have been signed into law that protect companies over consumers.
As for GMOs, many studies have suggested that genetically-modified food products can drastically alter the health of consumers in a negative way.
The number of Americans with chronic illnesses has doubled since the mass production of GMOs began and animals given only a GMO diet have shown to develop organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility.
GMOs have also show to cross-pollinate and last forever, meaning that the number of non-GMO products is decreasing and could ruin the health of future generations.
Though many of the products below may not contain GMOs themselves, the objective of a product boycott is to lessen the profit for Monsanto to show them that consumers are rejecting their practices and that we will not stand for their pollution or corruption.

While I whole-heartedly agree wth the sentiment here, I see errors in this list. Some of it is completely wrong and some is outdated. I detest Monsanto. (If you want to be sure of that check out my blog). An accurate, updated list needs to be made. Do some research. A problem in recent years with this amazing tool for acquiring information is that it has become too easy and we’re doing less of our own research and relying more on what others put out there.
I want to put Monsanto, Dow Chemical and DuPont Pioneer (as well as many other corporations) out of business and make the genetic engineering of food illegal. We also need to make organic seeds available to all who want them, make toxic pesticides and herbicides illegal, end factory farming, end animal abuse in the food industry, increase monitoring of drinking water and sewage treatment, end our addiction to fossil fuels, increase renewable energy sources as well as do many other things to prevent the destruction of nutrition in our food. We are a mentally sick society and are quickly becoming a physically sick society.
Thanks for all of your work in this important endeavor. Peace.

I’m glad you accepted my comment with the spirit in which it was made. I didn’t want to sound arrogant, but I feel we should all do more actual research. It helps in being able to write coherently and in a way that people will appreciate. Having said that, my blog is mostly about opinion. I don’t report much, I have a different way of looking at the world than most and try to get people to look at things with a fresh perspective.
If you don’t mind my “pushing” my own material on you, check out this history of Monsanto I put together a couple years ago. I spent a lot of time researching. It’s very long – about 4,000 words. Feel free to peruse it at your convenience and to use any information you like. I researched diligently and doubt there are any mistakes. Even in this “history” I put plenty of opinion in. That’s my style. Thanks for all of your important posts. I check out this blog as often as I am able.
