With the slogan “due to Genocide: ban Israel from the Bike Tour” the Peoples Solidarity Committee summons the citizens of Cantabria to the protests.
On September 4 and 5, the Israel – Premier Tech cycling team will cross Cantabria.
Its presence is a propaganda operation by the State of Israel, denounced by multiple international organizations for War crimes and systematic human rights violations against the Palestinian people.
Spanish legislation stayed that sports competitions have to be committed to the eradication of racism and violence.
Something that is not fulfilled in this case given the Israeli participation in the ‘Vuelta’, turning this competition into a tool to whitewash an apartheid system that is perpetrating a brutal genocide.

During the two days, ( 4th and 5th Sept) different orgs in Cantabria have organized acts and presence in the streets to claim institutions, sports administrations, federations and Sports Clubs cannot look the other way and collaborate in improving the image of genocides.
Amid public pressure the Spanish government has blocked some arms shipments to Israel but it continues to allow profiteering in Israeli/EU/US industry, tourism, etc..
The regulations must be met, according to the principles that inspire them, not avoiding responsibilities.
