‘Arson’ in Massive Fire at Monsanto Research Facility

(ANTIMEDIA) Maryland — Earlier this week, a Monsanto research facility in France was burned to the ground. Monsanto and investigators suspect an arsonist was responsible for the blaze.

Monsanto representative Jakob Witten told Reuters that investigators“strongly suspect it was a crime as no electrical or other sources were found.”He added that “No Monsanto sites in Europe have so far been the victim of fires of criminal origin, this is unprecedented violence.”

The fire had multiple points of origin, meaning it is unlikely the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction or other natural causes. Investigators also noticed a strong smell of gasoline in different areas of the site.

For the first time figures for poison NO2 and Particulates 2.5 have been included in British figures, adding 30,000 a year to the estimated deaths, nearly all from diesel emissions.

There are about 13 million Diesel vehicles in Britain, with 1.2 m Volkswagon produced cars (about 10%) emitting up to 30 times the legal limit we can safely estimate at least 2,000 deaths a year from these vehicles, and this has been going on since 2009.

Indonesia: Beloved Elephant tortured and killed by Ivory Poachers,

The brutal killing of a beloved elephant in Indonesia has sparked online anger, similar to the global outrage from the killing of Zimbabwe’s Cecil the lion.

According to AFP, it’s suspected that Yongki, a 35-year-old Sumatran elephant who helped patrol Indonesian jungles, died of poisoning at the hands of poachers. His maimed and bloodied body was found nearby a camp at the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park where he had lived.
