The Franco regime condoned mass rape, torture and killing of Republican women and their kids – and the mindset has never been confronted

The same occurred in Zafra and in Almendralejo, el Aguacho, in Fuente del Maestre, Boecillo, Valdedios, Pallars Sobirá, Zufre, Sierra Sur de Sevilla, and a long etcetera.

In Navalmoral a group of Republicans were handed over to Moroccan gangs who gang-raped them, a common practice. In Navalcarnero they handed over 2 girls under 20 years old to 40 Moorish soldiers, a Moroccan officer commented: “They will not live more than 4 hours.” In Cantalpino the Falangists raped Mrs. Alejandra in front of her husband.

In Calanda there were numerous rapes, a woman was beaten to death. In Maials, the Regulars raped at least 4 women. In a farmhouse, a young woman and her mother were raped and stabbed.

In Callús, the Regulars raped a woman, her daughter and a cousin, then killed them with bayonets. In Jerez they raped the teacher Carmen Hombre.

Nearby, in Marganell, 2 women were raped by Regulars, who were then killed by placing grenades between their legs. In Cantalpino they raped several girls.

They even raped and murdered girls like Maravillas Lamberto in Sartaguda.

In San Roque, an anarchist was shot after all the Moors in the firing squad had raped her. The rapes that occurred when the Moorish hordes freely indulged in pillage and rape in Seville were horrifying, Queipo de Llano delighted in recounting them in his radio talks.
