A few notes on upcoming events and ongoing workplace disputes:

On Tuesday 20th, the RMT are holding a Justice for Cleaners demonstration outside Parliament, as part of their ongoing campaign against the privatisation of cleaning.

On Wednesday 21st, there’s another cleaners’ protest, this time organised by grassroots union CAIWU at Facebook’s London offices. They complain “Facebook cleaners have started getting sick – hardly surprising when they have twice as much work as before. Yet Churchill Group just blames [them] for not working ENOUGH.”

On Saturday 24th, a Reclaim Pride march will be held in London.

Sunday 25th is the international day of solidarity with antifascist prisoners, so you might want to do something to mark that date.

We fight against these bills in a show of solidarity with all those the police do not protect, and to state that we do not, and will not accept increased police powers that effectively ban protest and criminalise trespass – effectively rendering a travelling life impossible, and intentionally erasing GRT (Gypsy/Roma/Traveller) culture and heritage. In occupying this cop shop, we choose to collectively stand against this injustice.

U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa announced on July 20 that air force personnel from the U.S. and Bulgaria are participating in the Falcon Defender 21 exercise at the Graf Ignatievo Air Base in the latter country.

The base is one of almost a dozen that the Pentagon and NATO have acquired in former Warsaw Pact nations since NATO expanded into Eastern Europe in 1999.

Imagine if Russia was really the aggressor. Imagine that Russia had colonized 14 states next to the USA AND CONSTANTLY HELD NUCLEAR WAR GAMES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO….
