“Far too many women are fighting—not only for their rights, but for the rights of all,” says Yomali Torres, an Afro-Colombian activist. The 26-year-old joined throngs of women in the streets of Colombia over the past month to demand an end to patriarchal oppression at the hands of a U.S.-backed neoliberal state..

Women’s presence in Colombia’s national strike—both as activists and as victims—has caught the world’s attention. Many have spoken out against police violence and sexual abuse during the current demonstrations. This, however, is not a new issue. Police, armed forces and illegal groups have used women’s bodies as weapons of war for decades.

You will never read in the western mass media the shocking and cruel accounts of the arrests, torture and deaths of thousands of innocents under the neo-fascist Turkish regime. Turkey is a NATO terrorist country of course, which means big bucks in arms and other contracts. Compare to the huge fuss and instant sanctions made over Navalny’s detention in Russia, or the arrest of Roman Protasevich in Belarus, even though both are more far right wing politicians than journalists. And what about Julian Assange!

We would need a book to even list the horrific crimes of the present Turkish regime, yesterday one more: it was announced with a Nationalist Fanfare that Turkey has kidnapped the nephew of political opponent Gulen in Kenya, despite his protected status, and brought him to a Turkish prison, treated as a bit of a…

Militarism and the Climate Catastrophe: Imperative for Direct Action now!

by rbrianlarkin22 April 2021 https://rethinkingsecurity.org.uk/ shared with thanks

In 2019 a small group of people from Trident Ploughshares set up XR Peace to bring peace movement groups together to raise awareness of the overlooked intersection between militarism and the climate crisis. Our message: War causes climate change. Climate change causes war.

In October that year, during the second Extinction Rebellion in London, demanding that government recognise the seriousness of the threat to global security posed by the climate, six of us blocked the entrance to the head office of BAE Systems, the UK and Europe’s largest military industrial company.

Don’t listen to MSM – Ivermectin’s already been approved as a [successful] covid-19 treatment in more than 20 countries

Pam Vernon's avatarEnvironmental Health Watch NZ

EWR COMMENT: So why has the media come “down on Ivermectin like an iron curtain”? The video in ‘related’ info below is a good eye opener on that. Particularly on the globalist agenda. Do check out the statistics in terms of deaths & adverse reactions as a result of ‘their’ solution. (Look in categories, CV VX deaths etc, left of news page). Stats are also updated regularly, right side of news page.

“Malcom X once called the media “the most powerful entity on the earth.” They have, he said, “the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of masses”. Today, that power is now infused with the power of the world’s biggest tech and social media companies. Together social and traditional media have the power to make a medicine that has saved possibly millions of…
