More than 2000 women have gathered this Sunday afternoon in front of the Putxet railways in a non-mixed night march in favor of 8-M. Organized by several feminist assemblies, the protesters were summoned days in advance so the police were already present in the area before their arrival..

All 8-M demonstrations have been BANNED in Madrid, but allowed in Barcelona with ‘Covid distancing restrictions’

The demonstration has ended with severe damage, although no container or other urban furniture has been burned. The protesters, as reported by the Mossos d’Esquadra, have broken the windows of a car dealership, a telephone store, a travel agency, the premises of a dentist and at least five bank offices.

Remembering our comrade Leah Feldman 1899 – 1993 .. A Rebel Spirit!

by kate Sharpley LibraryLeah Feldman was one of the ordinary men and women who rarely get into history books but have been the backbone of the anarchist movement.

Born in Warsaw in 1899, as a schoolgirl she became interested in anarchism. She said that her mother used to hide her shoes so that she could not attend meetings, which were then illegal in Poland. Finally she ran away to her sister in London where she earned her living at the sewing machine.

Working in the sweatshops of the East End she became active in the Yiddish-speaking anarchist movement that flourished at that time. When the Russian revolution broke out in 1917 the overwhelming majority of Russian male Jewish anarchists returned home. Many of those women whose husbands and lovers died at the hands of the Tsarists or the Bolsheviks, remained in England.

State impunity: On March 3, 45 years ago, 5 workers were murdered by cops in Vitoria Euskadi -Eng/Esp-

We continue to demand truth, justice, and .. suppression of the legal obstacles that protect impunity and impede the prosecution of Franco’s crimes.

JUSTICIA!

Today, like yesterday, winds of struggle are blowing against the capitalist logic that puts private benefits before people’s rights.

Pharmaceutical companies turn vaccines into a business financed with public money, investment funds squeeze the profitability of a basic need such as housing, Iberdrola and Endesa increase their profits 36% in the middle of the pandemic, the Banking continues to abuse thanks to the judiciary, work does not exclude poverty, due to labor reforms that deprive employment of dignity and rights, the protest is repressed through “gag” laws or the penal code.

14 Year Old Anarchists still jailed Facing Terrorism Charges in Russia for ‘Minecraft plot’

from AMW English shared with thanks Published March 6, 2021

Two boys, who turned 15 years old last year, Nikita Uvarov and Denis Mikhaylenko, have been in jail since last summer, accused of plotting a terrorist attack.

Kansk is a city with a population of 90,000 in Siberia, Russia. The closest city with a million inhabitants is Krasnoyarsk, 250 kilometers westwards.

According to the charges, they were, among other things, planning to build the headquarters of the Russian security service FSB in Minecraft, and to blow it up there. During the Soviet Era, the FSB had different names, the last before the disintegration of the Soviet union being FSB.

Amazon rainforest plots being illegally sold via Facebook Marketplace ads - YouTube

(Newser) – “Enabling deforestation in the Amazon” can be added to the list of Facebook’s misdeeds, according to a BBC investigation.

The broadcaster says many plots of illegally deforested land in the Brazilian rainforest can be found for sale via Facebook Marketplace—and some of the sellers who spoke to an undercover operative posing as a lawyer boasted about their connections to politicians.

Facebook has previously indicated it believes the task of trying to deduce which sales are illegal is too complex for it to carry out itself. But one congressman mocked this explanation.

These were the Anti-CAA protests against the discriminative Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and the farmers protests against a series of pro-corporate farm laws.

During the Anti-CAA protests, the loudest voices of dissent have been the women; from housewives to grandmothers, lawyers to students, women across India have been at the forefront of this struggle.

SIPAZ's avatar

@ Istmo Press

On March 2nd, a caravan of mothers of femicide victims from Chiapas arrived in Juchitan, Oaxaca. Given the lack of justice and impunity in the state of Chiapas, these women, members of the “Karla Velasco” Foundation, had announced, through a statement, their intention to depart for Mexico City to“confront President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador for the impunity of his things in the local authorities.”

Maricruz Velasco Najera and Manuel Gomez Giron are the parents of one of the victims, a young woman murdered in 2018 without there being a sentence against the person linked to the process or without knowing if there are accomplices.“What we are demanding is justice for our women, we want all of Mexico to know that in Chiapas women are being killed, that’s why we went out in a caravan, we may not be many, but we no longer want to…
