100’s of Banks attacked, blocked, closed, picketed…

May 9th. A day of action against the nationalized bankrupt BANKIA in Spain went VIRAL with hundreds of branches closed, occupied, attacked, etc.

Thousands of staff are now being fired.

Swindled customers of all ages  appeared to demand their savings back

We were there to provide cover for the actions proposed by social groups. Dozens of branches closed “breakdowns” “by technical problems” throughout the country. The actions ranged from being “cansinxs clients”, people dressed up, parties, songs …

All this served to HIT Bankia. The relevance of these actions has been so overwhelming that the capitalist media have had to spend (little or not so little) room to inform about them. From the early morning hours  different groups or individuals who would participate in the # toqueabankia branches approached their offices.

Many found that these were already closed due to “breakdowns” “for technical or operational problems” as an excuse for them if they occur. This led to greater focus on those branches that remained open.

There were also police officers, security guards and even customers trapped inside Bankia branches. (See videos)

Some pickets allowed free entry, other semi restricted, others were directly prevented. The consultations varied, imagination multiplied.

Extensive fake consultations began, closing accounts, urgent needs to know of their advantageous pension plans or their wonderful parts housing loans. But yeah, not to mention the new offer of Bankia ..no commission but one of the conditions is that the person buys 1000 shares of Bankia (really!!)

Overall, its been a wonderful day, because many branches that had not yet closed, by about 12 hours had begun to do.

Many goals met, again we won: it has been completely successful action in which we have seen the glut of people but above all our ability and creativity organzación to disturb the system.

We must take to the streets, because it is the only way to stop them and regain hope.

Estuvimos allí para darle cobertura a las acciones propuestas por los colectivos sociales. Decenas de sucursales cerradas “por averías” “por problemas téxcnicos” en todo el país. Las acciones variaron entre ser “clientes cansinxs”, personas disfrazadas, fiestas, canciones…

Todo sirvió para dar este toque a Bankia. La relevancia de estas acciones ha sido tan contundente que los medios capitalistas han tenido que dedicar (poco o no tan poco) espacio para informarlas. Desde las primeras horas de la mañana los diferentes grupos o personas individuales que iban a participar del #toqueabankia se acercaron a las sucursales.

Muchxs encontraban que estas estaban cerradas “por averías” “por problemas técnicos u operativos” según se les fuera ocurriendo una excusa. Esto generó mayor concentración en esas sucursales que permanecían abiertas.

También hubo policías, guardias de seguridad y hasta clientes secuestradxs por Bankia. (ver videos)

La entrada no fue en todas igual. Algunas tenían la entrada libre, otras semi restringida, otras como la de la calle Pez, directamente impedida. Las consultas variaban. Ya advertidxs de que algunas sucursales no permitín depositar el céntimo solidario, sino que solo admitían ingresos a partir de los 10 euros, la imaginación se multiplicó. Extensas consultas, cierre de cuentas, necesidad urgente de saber de sus ventajosos planes de pensiones o de sus maravillosos préstamos para refacciones de vivienda. Pero eso si, ni que decir de la nueva promoción de Bankia sin comisiones en que una de las condiciones es que la persona compre 1000 acciones de Bankia (de verdad!!)

Total, maravilloso día, porque muchas sucursales que aún no habían cerrado, cerca de las 12 horas ya habían comenzado a hacerlo.

Muy buenas las acciones de lxs compas de Salamanca (echando por tierra el latiguillo que desde allí no se movilizan!!)

Muchos objetivos cumplidos, de nuevo hemos vencido: ha sido una acción completamente exitosa en la cual hemos podido comprobar el hartazgo de la gente pero por sobre todo nuestra capacidad de organzación y la creatividad para molestar al sistema.

Hay que salir a las calles, porque es la única manera de que sostengamos la esperanza de frenarlos.
