Thirty people on hunger strike in the Aliens Internment Prison in Barcelona reported another version in relation to the death of an Armenian citizen
About 30 inmates of the Aliens Internment Prison (CIE ) in Barcelona have begun a hunger strike to denounce the events that occurred the morning of December 3 , which ended with the death of a citizen of Armenian origin. Manukyan Aramis , but his friends and acquaintances called him Alik . He was 32 years old, had a daughter of seven years and had spent 12 days in the internal CIE Zona Franca . He died alone in an isolation cell.
We have been trying to test the version provided by the National Police , collecting testimony from internal CIE , friends and family. All of these agreed on a totally different version of the report . According to these sources , before dying , Alik was beaten by police officers and then, he was admitted to an isolation cell , from where he could have been screaming for hours before the tragic outcome .
At this time , steps are being taken to inform the Court that apparently has been assigned to investigate this case and demand with the utmost urgency that they collect videos from the security cameras and suspend the deportation of inmates who may have relevant information. Also , work continues to gather more data, despite the prevailing opacity in these centers.
We demand a prompt, impartial and thorough judicial inquiry into the death of Alik in the Aliens Internment Prison (CIE Zona Franca) at dawn on 3 December.

Treinta personas en huelga de hambre en el CIE de Zona Franca denuncian otra versión en relación a la muerte del ciudadano armenio
NOTA DE PRENSA (A continuació en català) Alrededor de 30 internos del CIE de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, han iniciado una huelga de hambre denunciando los hechos sucedidos la madrugada del 3 de diciembre, que acabaron con la muerte de un ciudadano de origen armenio. Se llamaba Aramis Manukyan, pero sus amigos y conocidos le llamaban Alik. Tenía 32 años, una hija de siete años y llevaba 12 días interno en el CIE de la Zona Franca.
A estas horas, se están realizando gestiones para comunicar al Juzgado al que al parecer ha sido asignada la investigación de este caso, así como a los Juzgados de Control de CIE’s, para que con la mayor urgencia, recaben las imágenes de las cámaras de seguridad y suspendan las eventuales expulsiones de los internos que puedan tener información relevante. Igualmente, se sigue trabajando para recabar más datos, a pesar de la opacidad que impera en estos centros.
Exigimos que se lleve a cabo una investigación judicial rápida, imparcial y profunda sobre el resultado de muerte de Alik sucedida en el CIE de la Zona Franca la madrugada del pasado 3 de diciembre.
Convocamos a una concentración para denunciar la muerte de Alik
delante de la comisaría de la Policía Nacional de Vía Layetana el próximo
lunes 9 de Diciembre a las 19:30h
