The pot banging noise demos outside prisons are a regular New Year’s Eve tradition in many parts of the world draw attention to the State’s hostages , a way of expressing solidarity with our prisoners .
Whether our demos are outside prisons or deportation centers , whether the men and women prisoners face deportation for having fake papers or having no papers , we want to unite and break their loneliness and isolation .
The prison system is not reformable , because it is wrong from the roots , here and everywhere It doesnt make better people and or help solve social conflicts. The prevailing coexistence based on competition and injustice , imprisons or deports people on the one hand , getting rid of anyone considered problematic, and on the other , intimidates and exemplifies anyone who desperately seeks freedom.
People may be imprisoned over stolen or destroyed property or even for having evaded taxes , or may be in prison because they left their country of origin due to the lack of possibilities or for fear persecution – in every case for one pure and simple reason: the existence of prevailing rules determining what is right and what is wrong , what should be protected and what should be punished .
Laws and rules that are selected by only a few in order to subjugate the rest of us. We have to break with the logic of punishment and , therefore imprisonment. For us; abolition of all coercive institutions is only possible within a process to overthrow the presently existing one in its entirety, to enable a world without exploitation and oppression .
Wherever we are , lets meet together on New Year’s Eve outside of prisons , making noise and taking to the streets, to express the idea of a world free of domination and coercion. We want to use our solidarity and mutual support to break down all these walls… brick by brick .
We want a world without walls or borders.
Together we’ll fight until we are all FREE !

¡Nochevieja ruidosa por fuera de las prisiones!
En todas partes, ¡desde los centros de deportación hasta las instituciones penales!
Las caceroladas por fuera de las prisiones en Nochevieja son una tradición regular en muchas partes del mundo para recordar a lxs rehenes del Estado; una forma de expresar solidaridad con lxs personas presas.
Ya sean nuestras manis por fuera de las prisiones o de los centros de deportación —donde lxs presxs se enfrentan a la deportación por tener papeles falsos o no tener papeles—, queremos unirnos y romper la soledad y el aislamiento.
Este sistema carcelario no es reformable, porque está mal desde las raíces, aquí y en todas partes. Ni forma a mejores personas ni ayuda a resolver los conflictos sociales. La coexistencia reinante, basada en el pensamiento competitivo y la injusticia, encierra a personas o las deporta; por un lado, se deshace de todo lo considerado problemático, por el otro, intimida y ejemplariza a partir de todo aquel que busca desesperadamente la libertad.
Ya esté la gente presa porque, quizá, hayan robado o destrozado una propiedad o, incluso, por haber evadido impuestos, o están sentadxs en prisión porque se marcharon de su país de origen por la falta de posibilidades o por miedo a ser preseguidxs —todo se basa pura y llanamente en un hecho: la existencia de normas imperantes que determinan lo que está bien y lo que está mal, lo que se debe proteger y lo que se debe castigar.
Leyes y reglas que deciden solo unos pocos y ante las que a otrxs les toca subyugarse. Tenemos que romper con esta lógica del castigo y, consiguiente, confinamiento. Por eso, para nosotrxs, la abolición de toda institución coercitiva solo es posible dentro de un procesó que derroque el presente existente en su totalidad, para posibilitar un mundo sin explotación ni opresión.
Estéis donde estéis, quedad entre vosotrxs en Nochevieja por fuera de las prisiones, haced ruido y echaos a la calle para expresar la idea de un mundo libre de dominación y coerción. Queremos usar nuestra solidaridad y apoyo mutuo para echar abajo todos esos muros ladrillo a ladrillo.
Queremos un mundo sin muros ni fronteras.
Lucharemos juntxs: ¡HASTA QUE TODXS SEAMOS LIBRES!
