Despite being continents apart, the struggles of the Kurds and Zapatistas share a common purpose – to resist capitalism, liberate women and build autonomy – and a common ideology. We have extensively covered what is happening with both the Zapatista revolution in Chiapas (Mexico) and with the Kurdish revolution (in Rojava province) via a series of articles over several months. Now we publish an article that explains the links between the Zapatistas and the Kurds – links that are not just ideological, but demonstrate similar day-to-day practices in creating social revolution.
