On Thursday, January 26, 2017, the Guardia Civil detained two comrades, Gabriel Pombo da Silva and Carmen Otero, as part of the Operation “Buyo” directed by the Court of Instruction n ° 4 of Vigo. The anarchists are accused in a first instance of illicit possession of weapons: 8 firearms, 6 of them detonating pistols ”transformed to make real fire”, 200 metal cartridges of different calibres and also were found close to 3000 €.
According to the statements of the prosecution our comrades tried to ‘form an anarchist cell with the materials found in the flat of one of them’. This investigation was initiated with information from an earlier operation against arms and ammunition trafficking which the police claim have links with the two detained anarchists.
Finally the anarchist Gabriel Pombo da Silva, for the moment, was released without precautionary measures, while the comrade Carmen Otero has been put in interim imprisonment, communicated and without bail.

In the above news item they say that Gabriel has been released with charges, while Carmen entered in provisional prison for illegal possession of arms …… Health and freedom to lxs compas!

As for Carmen Otero, she was sentenced to two years in prison, but finally released, following a Molotov cocktail attack on the door of the Circle of Entrepreneurs of Galicia, in the avenue García Barbón.
