US-backed Bombing, Blockade and Invasion of starving Yemen sparks deadly Cholera

‘We are witnessing an astonishing new level of human depravity in which the US sells $110,000,000,000 worth of arms to the terrorist  Saudi state while actively aiding it in bombing and starving it’s neighbours to death.
Next day we read of a massive cholera epidemic but no one makes the connection. The Yemeni genocide is an object lesson, with the proof open to any blogger in the internet, of the capitalist insanity whereby just a few  days of arms spending could save the infinite suffering of poverty and lack of health services on the planet’… continues…HERE.. Saudi-led siege, bombs and invasion bring famine and Cholera horror to Yemen

Massive Cholera Outbreak In Yemen      There is a state of emergency in Yemen‘s capital after a recent outbreak of cholera.

By Niles Niemuth in the USA:     According to the latest figures from the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1,500 Yemenis have died in a deadly cholera epidemic which has infected some 250,000 people since April. Children account for a quarter of the deaths and half of all infections.

The deadly outbreak is the direct result of the criminal Saudi-led, US-backed war to reinstate the puppet government of President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, who was ousted in 2015 …Image result for cholera in yemen children die

The Saudi-led assault on Yemen is a war crime of immense proportions, rivaling the US proxy war for regime change in Syria that has killed or displaced millions and the 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq, which resulted in the deaths of more than a million people. Hamburg: Plan of action for the international anticapitalist demonstration- Welcome to hell

MB3's avatarMB3-org.com

Goal of the demonstration

With a large international anticapitalist demonstration we would like to offer the many people who are coming to the protests against the G20 summit to Hamburg a platform for our varied and fundamental criticism of the ruling circumstances on the eve of the direct actions against the infrastructure of the summit and the capital. When the most powerful government officials and the greatest war-drifters come to Hamburg St. Pauli, we will already be there: in our camps and centers, on the street, in the houses, in the neighborhood, and all the city. The left-radical pre-evening demo on Thursday shall be a first strong expression of our irreconcilable criticism.

After we built and settled our camps in the city in the days before, the summit of solidarity and the first gatherings and actions took place, we see the international anticapitalist demonstration as a prelude to the „hot…

A world without police: Peter Gelderloos

“posted by Julius Gavroche      As a continuation of the collection of accounts of police violence-intervention from our last post, we share an essay by Peter Gelderloos on the function of the police within modern, capitalist society.

No radical politics is possible except against the police, for they are an integral and fundamental instrument in the reproduction of capitalist social relations.  This does not mean however they they should become the object of any open and exclusive counter-violence; but rather, that all should be done to create conditions in which the violence of the police is rendered pointless and they themselves cease to be necessary.Image result for a world without police.. anarchist

In the mass protests-occupations of spain’s cities in 2011, for example, the police were often simply marginalised by the sheer scale of the mobilisations, or pushed back in many smaller, but determined, protests.  The creation and defense of spaces of autonomy is only viable not against the police, but against the society as whole to which they belong.  In other words, autonomy lies beyond policed societies.

A world without police

by Peter Gelderloos (Originally published with Counterpunch)

In two previous essay, I discussed the role of the Left in protecting the police through cautious reformism, and the effectiveness of a pacified, falsified—in a word disarmed—history of the Civil Rights movement to prevent us from learning from previous struggles and achieving a meaningful change in society.

The police are a racist, authoritarian institution that exists to protect the powerful in an unequal system. Continue reading “A world without police: Peter Gelderloos”

Why is Facebook Banning Lesbians for Using the word ‘dyke’?

Don’t let Facebook tell us who we are, protest the banning for using the word DYKE!

In the days leading up to the annual Pride marches that took place in many North American cities, reports that lesbians were being banned from Facebook began to surface.

Co-founder of MichFest, the famed annual women’s music festival that was held every August from 1976 to 2015, Lisa Vogel, noted the irony of Facebook’s rainbow “reaction,” paired with their apparent targeting of lesbians.

Over the weekend, more and more women reported being banned — either for posting the word “dyke” in some form, or for simply posting about the bans. Continue reading “Why is Facebook Banning Lesbians for Using the word ‘dyke’?”

Mega Police Raid on legal anti G20 Camp: A Tale of Violence and Betrayal

What the Raid Shows about the Police States to Come

The week of demonstrations against the G20 summit in Hamburg got off to a telling start on Sunday. A lengthy court battleculminated with the highest court in Germany upholding the right of the anticapitalist camp to set up in Hamburg. Yet when they attempted to do so, the police blocked access to the park, directly violating the court ruling, then carried out a brutal raid in which several hundred riot police surrounded and brutalized campers and confiscated their belongings. The following firsthand account illustrates the world that the G20 summit in Hamburg represents—a world in which “peaceful protest” and court proceedings exist only to distract the naïve, while the whims of security forces are the law of the land. No wonder people are preparing to resist the G20.

Video footage showing the tremendous numbers of police involved in the raid.

What Happened at Enterwerder Park

The passive demonstration that nonprofit groups organized for Sunday was explicitly not directed at the G20 rulers but only at their policies—as if mere sign-holding could possibly have any influence on state policy. The real demonstrations are scheduled to take place later this week during the summit itself.

The original group that had formed to organize a campsite for protesters during the G20 summit had split along similar lines, with the group that was afraid of anything that smacked of “violence” or opposition to capitalism accepting a purely symbolicsite far away from central Hamburg, while the other group continued to push for a place in Hamburg proper. The latter group had apparently won, with Germany’s highest court ruling in their favor.Image result for Entenwerder

We arrive at Enterwerder Park in late afternoon. Hundreds of hopeful campers are gathered at the gates of the park, kept out by lines of police in heavy riot gear. Continue reading “Mega Police Raid on legal anti G20 Camp: A Tale of Violence and Betrayal”

A step closer to justice for victims of Franco’s dictatorship in Spain

24 February 2016

An Argentine judge has ordered the exhumation of the remains of Timoteo Mendieta. He was executed by Franco’s forces at the end of Spain’s civil war and dumped in an unmarked mass grave on the edge of Guadalajara’s municipal cemetery.

This is a big victory for his daughter, 90-years old Ascension Mendieta, who had to travel to Argentina to get the right to give her father a proper burial.
