On Monday October 23, 2017, the new LNG Benue, a Bermuda convenience banner, loaded with thousands of tons of liquefied natural gas, entered the Ferrol Ría estuary and is being unloaded in the Reganosa tanks.The “LNG Benue” vessel has a total length of 285 meters, and a capacity of 145,952 m³. In the case of 2016, three sentences and a decision of the Supreme Court were ruled out, and in 2012 there was another judgment of the same higher judicial body. The third final ruling against Reganosa has canceled the authorization for the construction of the regasificadora plant in Mugardos, back to the petrochemical complex of the Tojeiro Group (Forest of the Atlantic and Imegasa). And a fourth sentence in favor of the opposition movement to Reganosa, had canceled the Exterior Emergency Plan of the gas plant.

After being declared illegal Reganosa, by the final rulings of the Supreme Court, by the then state government (27.05.2016), it resolved to exempt the gas plant from undergoing environmental assessment and granted the operation authorization in an attempt to circumvent the judgments of the High Court, all with an unmanageable media support, the Xunta de Galicia and the Municipal Government of Mugardos (Today ceased by a motion of censure). The opposition movement to Reganosa, with broad political support, decided to resort to the governmental resolutions indicated.
The Citizen Emergency Committee for the Ria de Ferrol, https://cociudem.wordpress.com/ through its Legal Advice, filed an administrative appeal against the High Court of Madrid against the dismissal of the appeal against the resolution of July 7, Directorate General of Energy Policy of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, which granted REGANOSA the administrative authorization and approved the project of execution of the Gas Plant, and requesting that declare the nullity of authorizations and the cessation of the activity of the installation, dangerous, unnecessary, uneconomical and illegal.
Allegations
On September 4, 2017, the Citizen Committee also presented allegations against the extension of the concession (C-496-1) to REGANOSA, and urged municipalities that their representatives vote not to this concession in the Board of Directors of the Authority Port
After the sentences of the Supreme Court, which declare Reganosa illegal, we demand the end of this threat and of this waste of public money. We have to demand its final closure.

Este buque de enorme porte e grande capacidade, entrou está mañá pola bocana da Ría e tivo que cruzar o angosto, estreito, de pouco calado e de fondo rochoso, canle de máis de 4.500 metros, até chegar ao pantalán de descarga do peirao de Punta Promontoiro, situado no termo municipal de Mugardos.
