Hundreds of people have perished in violent attacks by Uighur Islamic terrorists in Xinjiang in recent years.
The Uighurs are/were prominent in both ISIS and Al Qaeda in Iraq, and in 2o17 released a ‘Rivers of Blood’ video jointly with ISIS, threatening China … see HERE ISIL video threatensChina with ‘riversof bloodshed …
March 2014.. Dozens of commuters were stabbed to death by Uighur jihadis in Kunming station
The Uighurs have carried out ISIS like attacks already in China: ”Three knife-wielding separatists killed five people in Xinjiang in February, and towards the end of December, four terrorists set off a bomb at a government office, killing one and injuring several others. One of the worst incidents occurred several years ago at a train station in Kunming. Militants from Xinjiang used machetes to cut down more than 30 people. Over one hundred people were hurt in the attack”…etc etc..
With stunning hypocrisy the US has mounted a worldwide campaign against China for allegedly putting Uighur ‘terrorists’ in ”reeducation camps”.. but didn’t the US bomb whole cities off the map..Mosul, Raqqa… in revenge for similar ISIS atrocities?
By now its printed as a fact in the West that China is pursuing an evil Hitler-like extermination policy against its wonderful innocent Uighur minority. The US has now banned all imports originating in Xinxiang province,
The US tactic seems to be to attack whole countries and then accuse them endlessly of terrorism when they resist, as in Iran, Syria, Iraq, Venezuela, ….etcetera.
A Beijing-Brussels-Berlin special: that was quite the video-summit
From Beijing, we had President Xi Jinping. From Berlin, Chancellor Angela Merkel. And from Brussels, President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The Chinese billed it as the first summit “of its kind in history”.
Bogotá, the Colombian capital, has been rocked by daily clashes in the street since the police tortured and murdered Javier Ordóñez on video last Wednesday.
Thirteen protesters have already lost their lives and hundreds have been injured in clashes with the police. Most of the victims were shot and killed, increasing the fury of the protesters.
On Friday, the Colombian police assumed their responsibility for the repression through a message on their official Twitter account.
On Monday a demonstration turned into a pitched battle between protesters and riot police, who dispersed the crowd with stun grenades and tear gas.
Judges are investigating 65 police officers for abuse of authority and around 40 weapons have been seized to see if they were the cause of the fatal shots against protesters.
The main mobilizations have taken place in Bosa, Kennedy, Teusaquillo, Suba and Engativá, with burning of vehicles and garbage containers at the hands of the CAI (Immediate Action Commands).
A group of protesters from the Misak community knocked down the monument to the Spanish conqueror Sebastián de Belalcázar, founder of the cities of Quito, Cali and Popayán, during a march in rejection of the murders of social leaders.
In the images, you can see how the indigenous people use ropes to knock down the statue located in the center of Popayán.
The mayor of the town, Juan Carlos López Castrillón, lamented the act of vandalism and affirmed that the monument will be placed back on the pedestal.
«This act against a symbol of the city is unfortunate and painful. It is a monument of character and that is why our decision is to restore it and put it back, ”he said.
Local judicial authorities have already launched an investigation to identify and punish those responsible for the demolition.
For her part, the president of the Indigenous and Social Alternative Movement (Mais), Martha Peralta, called De Belalcázar “a genocide who massacred the peoples he conquered.”
Your mobile internet provider charges you much too much, by the month. Then he commonly gives you access ”FREE” for big US sites like Facebook, who in turn give him ‘discount’.
This becomes more common daily with lots of variations, especially in Europe. Till little by little all the corporations ‘buy into’ it and all other sites become expensive (also due to other scams) and marginalised.
They call this “Zero-Rating”
It’s now been called out by an EU Court.. Lets see what that means in practice!
‘Huge Victory for Net Neutrality’: Top EU Court Rebuffs Zero-Rating Schemes
The open internet win comes from the Court of Justice of the European Union’s first-ever interpretation of the EU’s 2015 net neutrality law.by Andrea Germanos, staff writer 0 Comments
“Zero rating is the opposite of net neutrality, the notion that all data on the internet should be treated equally,” digital rights group Access Now previously explained. (Photo: Tim Carter/CC BY-NC-ND 2.0)
The European Union’s highest court on Tuesday said that so-called “zero-rating” plans that prioritize certain Internet data are “incompatible” with the net neutrality regulations of the 27-country bloc.
In the Spanish State there are 165 evictions a day, which are now, above all, due to non-payment of rent, and carried out by banks and growing international vulture funds .
Where are we supposed to go? Tens of thousands of families left with zero work, many with zero compensation in the informal economy are due to lose their homes as the rent moratorium runs out and they just can’t pay.
In Spain its especially bad. Here over 700,000 have been exicted from their homes in the great mortgage swindle, mostly by the same banks that robbed them.
So now there is a ‘rent bubble’. Your rent can easily be more than your salary. If you have a salary. The State rescue plan is a total flop and bureaucratic quagmire and hardly anyone has succeeded in getting the tiny payments. Really!
Avui la batalla és al #Raval, i els barris hem respost a la crida.
So. Where are we supposed to go? The media, rightwing and big propertied classes have mounted an hysterical anti-squatter campaign, highlighting a handful of abusive cases to criminalize people. In reality squatting is rare and already heavily penalized.
Heavy boat traffic, severe overfishing, pollution, dumping and climate change is destroying the habitat of the orcas. Highly intelligent and social animals they appear to have realized that humans are responsible and on behalf of all sea life have decided to attack at a weak point: breaking the rudders of the luxury plaything yachts of the idle rich.
original title: Gangs of killer whales are attacking boats off Spain and Portugal and researchers have no idea why (VIDEOS)
Since July 2020, multiple reports of attacks on sailboats by pods of orca whales have been reported off Spain and Portugal’s shores, with injuries and significant damage reported, and the assaults showing no signs of abating.
Spain’s maritime rescue service uploaded video of fresh attacks Monday, sharing haunting footage of the killer whales toying with yet another victim.
In the following report from Greece, anarchists describe the burning of the refugee camp, Moria, and the response countrywide, as well as the latest chapter in other struggles against state repression on a variety of fronts.
Another month, another report on the situation here in Greece. There has been no pause in the repression of the state, nor any peace for the marginalized and excluded. Another historic squat has been evicted, the economic despair many already face is becoming generalized, society drifts towards the right at the guidance of state and corporate media, and the largest concentration camp housing migrants in all of Europe has been engulfed in flames, displacing thousands.
As in the rest of the world, each morning brings new concerns, new disasters, new forms of precarity. We share the following information in the pursuit of a relentless and borderless solidarity.
The refugee camp Moria on the island of Lesvos has burned down.
The state claims this was the result of demonstrations by desperate people inside the camp reacting to new measures the police had opportunistically declared in response to an inevitable and now unavoidable outbreak of COVID-19 inside the camp.
Some 35 cases have been made public as of early September; considering the intense overcrowding of the camp, the number should be assumed to be much higher. Some wonder whether nearby fascists took the opportunity to set fires under the cover of the refugees’ protests. It is certain that some of the villagers wanted those fleeing the flames to burn alive, as they pushed those who tried to flee to the nearby village of Mytilene back towards the blaze.
If the government’s claim that the fire started from the demonstrations is correct, we can understand this as an act of desperation on the part of individuals protesting against an unbearable situation.
Out of all the concentration camps where refugees are contained on islands near Turkey or out of the view of the public on mainland Greece, Moria is by far the most famous, both for its size and for the severity of the conditions. Moria housed over 13,000 refugees, though it was designed for only around 3000. It is a symbol of the racism and dehumanizing policies of exclusion that comprise the basis of modern Europe.
It was inevitable that COVID-19 would enter Moria. Imposing additional restrictions on the already forcibly isolated and controlled camp brought an already dire situation to the brink. Now thousands are going hungry without shelter, including many children. Facing fascist and police violence, they find themselves in an even worse situation than before.
