Accrete, the company facilitating the Pentagon’s AI sells a tool that allows corporations to counter damaging rumors
US Special Operations Command can now analyze social media data to capture“emerging narratives” and quickly generate the information a military force would need to stamp out unfriendly trends, even as they are still in the process of going viral.
That’s according to AI software developer, Accrete, which announced in a press release last week it will provide its “open-source threat detection” software, ‘Arugus,’ to the Pentagon to target “synthetic media” and so-called disinformation on social media in real time.
Ay Caramba.. In other words – a propaganda exercise. Whenever western governments talk about misinformation and disinformation they are talking about using propaganda to disseminate THEIR version of misinformation and disinformation!
The tool would be used by intelligence analysts and other specialists to “predict real time disinformation threats from social media,” the company explained.
These might include “AI-generated viral narratives, deep fakes, and other harmful social media-based applications of AI,” Accrete CEO Prashant Bhuyan said in the company’s statement, claiming these “pose a serious threat to US national security and civil society” and that social media itself is an “unregulated environment where adversaries routinely exploit reasoning vulnerabilities and manipulate behavior through the intentional spread of disinformation.”
The Pentagon isn’t the only customer that will have access to Argus’ capabilities – a version called Nebula Social is set to be marketed to private corporations in order to manage their online reputations and customers’ conversation about their brand.
“Companies are already experiencing significant economic damage caused by the spread of AI-generated viral disinformation and deep fakes manufactured by competitors, disgruntled employees, and other types of adversaries,” Bhuyan said, arguing the market was looking for military-grade information warfare tools to be shared with the private sector.
“We believe that the market for AI that can predict and neutralize malign AI-generated synthetic media is about to explode,” he predicted. The private-sector version of the software is supposed to protect against “customer pain points” by learning what a company values and responding to the most relevant issues first – before they have a chance to negatively impact client behavior – with autonomously-generated content, i.e. synthetic media.
The Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit, co-founded by ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt, initially worked with Accrete to develop Argus in November, paying millions of dollars for a five-year license to the program designed to – among other things – uncover “behavioral anomalies indicative of potentially illicit activity that are too complex for humans to identify.”

US special ops to wage real-time AI information war
The Americans are really going to be properly controlled by their government, I guess a lot of them will join the expat communities in Chile, Panama and other countries where they can live their lives freely without harassment. Even Americans in Russia say they are happy and will not go back. I guess there is life beyond the borders of the great west after all. 4 hr

The Ministry of Truth. It is so pathetic and so predictable. It is the resort of any government, organisation, body, group or DESPOT that cannot withstand open scrutiny, transparency, or challenge. When those who would be ‘dictators’ are unable to justify or argue their cause in an open forum because they are simply wrong. 6 hr

It can’t as any website can simply turn off the comments section. Even DOS attacks can be thwarted using DevOps principles and cloud servers these days. AI can check code for exploits and block attacks that way as well. Russia has its own cloud servers. Google has set back technology at least 40 years by the way. It has innovated nothing. DevOps was promoted by Amazon and then Microsoft. DevOps is based on open-source OS called Linux which is free. For $50 a month I can use real-time AI that blocks Accrete’s malicious bots. Imagine what Russia can do to block USA government bots. 8 hr

So in order to deal with what they claim to be AI generated false narratives, they are creating software to produce AI generated false narratives. What happens when everyone starts using this software? 10 hr…………. + many more…

Argentina’s Ministry of Economy announced measures to improve the salaries of public workers and divert money to retirees and the poorest families, defying the demand of its International Monetary Fund (IMF) masters for the country to spend less.
The national economy is dedicated to paying the interest on its debt, making it a mere ‘cash cow’ for the western holders of shares in the debt and always being forced to seek more.
The IMF claims to be ‘helping’ Argentina, but its financial interest is to make it poorer and more dependant on new loans.
Argentina’s admission to BRICS gives it a glimmer of hope. By trading in currencies outside the dollar and joining any new BRICS currency it could finally free itself from the debt ‘vultures’.
Sergio Massa, economy minister and presidential candidate, outlined measures including tax cuts, higher pension payments, additional money for feeding programs for families with children and low-interest lines of credit, Bloomberg reported.
The new plan, which also includes financing for export products, comes after President Alberto Fernández’s Union for the Homeland coalition, of which Massa is a candidate, was surprised by the victory of the far right libertarian capitalist Javier Milei in the primaries of this August before the October elections.
Argentina has long been reduced to penury despite natural and social riches, having been caught, like dozens of poor countries, in a classic neo Liberal debt trap by the US controlled financial system.
In the opinion of Bloomberg analyst Maya Averbuch, these measures “could put the government in conflict with the IMF”, which on August 23 approved a disbursement of 7.5 billion dollars to the South American country after extensive negotiations over its multimillion-dollar loans, after of Argentina failing to meet program targets in the midst of a drought.
In his speech, the minister cited the devaluation of the currency and the unprecedented climate crisis as reasons to offer financial support to Argentine families.
“The main objective is that all sectors of the economy have help, in some way, from the State,” Massa was quoted as saying by the US media.
One of the conditions of the IMF loan to the Fernández government was that Argentina intensify control of spending by even further limiting public salaries and pensions.
In its statement, the credit agency demanded that Buenos Aires apply a ‘temporary’ increase in taxes on certain goods and services to compensate for drought-related export losses.
Argentina is by now the largest debtor of the IMF, an entity that in 2018 delivered to the Macri Executive the largest credit granted in its history to a single country
