– Primero que todo, ¿por qué este documental?

En diciembre de 2022 llegaron noticias espantosas de la represión mortal a las protestas de sectores rurales del Perú tras el encarcelamiento y destitución del presidente elegido Pedro Castillo. Este proyecto nació para visibilizar a las víctimas en un escenario de censura y manipulación informativa por parte de los medios de comunicación masiva en Perú.

– ¿Qué pasó en diciembre de 2022?

En 2021, Pedro Castillo ganó las elecciones del Perú, pero el Congreso, dominado por las fuerzas de derecha y extrema derecha estaban tramando una vacancia para destituirlo. Fue entonces que tras un discurso en que anulaba el Congreso para convocar un proceso de reforma constituyente, el presidente fue apresado y Dina Boluarte se erigió como presidenta interina.

Los Departamentos del Sur Andino peruano, donde Pedro Castillo había conseguido más del 80% de apoyo, salió a las calles a defender sus derechos políticos. En Andahuaylas y Ayacucho, estas protestas fueron reprimidas a balazos.

– ¿Cómo se desencadenan las masacres?

Tanto Andahuaylas, Ayacucho y Juliaca, que son las ciudades donde la violencia se cobró más vidas, la represión siguió un mismo patrón.

Desde los aeropuertos desembarcan militares y fuerzas especiales que disparan dentro y fuera de las dependencias aeroportuarias, para luego tomar las calles de la ciudad y profundizar el terror. Se dispara con armas letales con el objetivo de matar, no discriminando si son mujeres, niños o incluso médicos o vecinos que atendían a los heridos.

This text from the 30th Anniversary of the EZLN Uprising series opens with the “surprise” that was Marichuy’s candidacy as an independent candidate for the presidency of Mexico in 2018, continues with the creation of new Autonomous Municipalities and Caracoles in the Zapatista zone and the Journey for Life of the rebels from southeastern Mexico to Europe, Slumil K’ajxemk’op.

And it does not end, but continues with the future: the new reorganization of Zapatista autonomy and “the common people,” ready to move forward and with an eye toward at least one hundred and twenty years…

In 2016, from October 9 to 14, the National Indigenous Congress (CNI) held an important meeting, divided into two parts, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of its constitution, on October 12, 1996.

The first part of this meeting ended with the issuance of a statement signed jointly by the Zapatista Army of National Liberation and the National Indigenous Congress: “Let the earth tremble at its core.”“Que retiemble en sus centros la tierra”.

The text reviews the struggles and resistance of the indigenous peoples “to stop the capitalist storm and offensive that does not cease but becomes more aggressive every day and has become a civilizational threat not only for the indigenous and peasant peoples but for the people of the cities”.

It considers that this offensive is not going to stop, but on the contrary, will increase, they report that a consultation will be held in each of the towns on an agreement made at that meeting: “to appoint an indigenous governing council whose word will be materialized by an indigenous woman, delegate of the CNI as an independent candidate who will compete on behalf of the National Indigenous Congress and the Zapatista Army of National Liberation in the electoral process of 2018 for the presidency of this country”.

With this, the first part of the meeting was closed, which continued at the end of the year, once the consultation was made.

  • In the occupied West Bank, the death toll from Israel’s large-scale raids rose to 29 as the Israeli siege on the Jenin refugee camp entered a sixth day, leaving Palestinians without access to food, water, power or internet.
  • At least 40,738 people have been killed and 94,154 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7.

Safety concerns remain amid Gaza’s polio vaccination campaign

Seem this brand of oral polio vaccinations is now banned in the west because it ‘LEAKS’ i.e. it has CAUSED outbreaks of polio. The traces of polio found in sewerage in Gaza are probably due to the vaccine which recently has been administered in Gaza. Only one single case of polio has been found so far, no deaths. The partial local ‘humanitarian pauses’, while welcome, is suspicious on multiple levels. see details HERE
