On July 2, the Barcelona City Council, currently of the PSC ( “socialists”!), planned to evict 40 people from their homes, 13 of whom are minors, without any viable alternative or follow-up by social services.

😡 The pretext of carrying out an urban development plan from 2002 is yet another example of the PSC’s neoliberal policies.

These far right capitalista policies include the desire to expand the airport, the danger of so many self-managed spaces such as the Sants Social Center, the Casal de Joves Autogestionat ( Self managed Youth Center) of Ciutat Vella, or the Casal de Joves Girapells..

Also the constant advance of the flagship neoliberal project that is 22@ or the hygienist and racist campaign of the “Pla Endreça”.

🏴Vallcarca is a neighborhood that has been forged with years of resistance, in which networks of mutual support have been woven and a popular policy has been carried out that has given the neighborhood tools to have its own voice in what they want their neighborhood to be like.

Today, defending Vallcarca is defending Barcelona Popular.

El pròxim 2 de juliol, l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, actualment del PSC, vol expulsar a 40 persones de casa seva, 13 de les quals menors d’edat, sense cap alternativa viable ni seguiment per part de serveis socials.

😡 El pretext de dur a terme un pla urbanístic del 2002 és una mostra més de les polítiques neoliberals del PSC, que veiem en la voluntat d’ampliar l’aeroport, el perill de tants espais autogestionats com el Centre Social de Sants, el Casal de Joves Autogestionat de Ciutat Vella, o el Casal de Joves Girapells, l’avenç constant del projecte neoliberal insígnia que és el 22@ o la campanya higienista i racista del “Pla Endreça”.

🏴Vallcarca és un barri que s’ha forjat amb anys de resistència, en què s’han teixit xarxes de suport mutu i s’ha dut a terme una política popular que ha donat al veïnat eines per tenir una veu pròpia en com volen que sigui el seu barri.

Avui, defensar Vallcarca és defensar la Barcelona Popular.
