26/09 #Italy – Protests continue in support of the Palestinian people and the Global Sumud Flotilla, and against the Italian government’s complicity in the genocide in Gaza.

In Livorno, dockworkers and other groups occupied the port for three consecutive days, preventing the docking of the American ship SLNC Severn, which was carrying vehicles and caterpillars destined for a US military base in Pisa.
In Taranto, dockworkers and other groups prevented the docking of the oil tanker Seasalvia, which was waiting at the port to load 30,000 tons of crude oil destined for the Israeli Air Force.

In Ravenna, dockworkers identified and blocked the loading of containers full of weapons destined for the Israeli army.
In Trieste, dockworkers went on strike against the docking of the MSC Melani III, which was carrying weapons and war material destined for the Israeli army.

In Genoa, dockworkers and other collectives demonstrated outside the city hall against the docking of a ship loaded with steel destined for military use in Israel in the coming days.
In Salerno, dockworkers and unions declared that workers will refuse to handle cargo destined for conflict.

On Saturday, September 27, in Genoa, Italy, several delegations of workers from other European ports will meet to discuss organizing a large, united demonstration against arms trafficking.
Late Flotilla News
Two Italian naval frigates have been sent to “assist” the 50+ strong Sumud Flotilla now nearing Gaza and aiming to break the starvation Blockade.
However Meloni, head 0f the pro Zionist Italian government says “there’s no need for the flotilla to reach Gaza for Aid to get to Gaza”.

Some Flotilla members express fear that the Italian Navy may even HELP the terrorist Israeli military to block and divert the flotilla… Maybe coercing the flotilla give up, or to unload their token amount of Aid elsewhere, maybe in Cyprus?
One Spanish Navy ship is also on its way, but its stated mission seems to be to assist only Spanish citizens.
