‘Erdogan’s terrorists ”Assassinating, Beheading, Stabbing and Planting Explosives’ in ‘Safe Zone’

Turkish ‘elected dictator’ Tayyip Erdogan said yet again on Saturday that he will order a military air and ground operation east of the Euphrates river in Syria.“We’ve made our preparations, we’ve made our operation plans, given the necessary instructions”, the politician said, adding that Turkey would launch the illegal genocidal invasion “as soon as today or tomorrow”.

But a Turkish backed mercenary group, Ahrar al-Shaab  ” has already infiltrated the area and is committing dozens of atrocities,  specializing in assassinations, beheadings, stabbings and the planting of explosive devices to ‘avenge attacks by the resistance in occupied Afrin’, focusing on border cities such as Serekaniye, Dirbesiye and Qamishlo in Erdogan’s ”Safe Zone”. Erdogan is still being courted by both the US and Russia who see Turkey as strategic, he has defied with impunity the now embattled Trump on the S400 deal and on buying Iranian oil, and now demands permission to use Syrian air space to again bomb the Syrian people before invading.

Erdogan claimed he intends to settle 3.5m Syrian refugees in Turkey in the invaded area he calls a ”safe zone”…

But over and over he previously claimed he wants to expel the local Kurdish population. ”cleanse Rojava” and restore the Ottoman Empire and is proving his wish in ‘turkifying’ Afrin, so this new senseless invasion would be more ethnic cleansing and attempted genocide.

Erdogan has gained much needed support (his AKP party lost Istanbul city council) by complaining often about the  3.5m Syrian refugees in Turkey, although they are less than 5% of the Turkish population in a huge area. Turkey has already received 6,000,000,000 euros by blackmailing EU taxpayers to support them.

Meanwhile they are forced to work black for starvation wages, boosting the economy and forcing salaries down for everyone. (The over 3 million Syrian refugees in Turkey (actually a tiny minority in a population of 81 million compared with the IDP’s hosted in Rojava and formerly Afrin) are being cruelly exploited as virtual black slave labour while being subsidised with billions of euros by the EU taxpayer with continuous blatant blackmail threats to ” flood Europe” with them.)

And now he is using them as a ridiculous excuse for a new illegal invasion, this time in NE Syria. (The idea of ‘settling’ 2,000,000 refugees in an already occupied  rural semi desert region with no resources might appeal to Erdogan’s favourite historical figure: Adolf Hitler).

Lebanon for example has nearly half its population Syrian refugees and gets little aid or attention. Afrin, before the ongoing invasion by Turkey, had nearly doubled its population hosting a huge number of Arab, Christian, Assyrian and Turkmen refugees and was hailed as a  model of direct democracy, gender equality and religious and ethnic tolerance.

Despite a siege blockade the Afrin population nearly doubled (172k to 323k )  while Turkey’s has only increased by 4.4%  (3.5 million out of 80 million).  (The total population of Afrin as of 2005 was recorded at only 172,095 people Wikipedia.) The Turkish takeover has forced a mass exodus of refugees from Afrin amidst documented reports of mass murder, widespread looting , kidnapping, rape, a continuing guerilla war and pillage by the Turkish contracted Jihadi mercenaries and Turkish military.

Once invaded Turkey will NEVER LEAVE, and a guerilla war will continue indefinitely. For example, Turkey refuses to leave Nth Cyprus,  or its illegal bases in Iraq,or Afrin, Al Bab, Jarablus, Azaz.. or of course the Syrian province of Hatay, now 80 years invaded and ethnically cleansed.

Erdogan forced more than half Afrin’s population to flee and they still survive in tent camps, seizing their property and importing thousands of jihadi mercenaries, Al Qaeda ex ISIS guerillas, and sponsored the Al Qaesa mini state in Idlib….

…and now has the utter hypocrisy to complain about refugees and announce a new invasion ‘to settle them in a safe area’.

Defeated but defiant. Massacres  by Turkish troops and  the mercenaries of FSA  around Afrin  as the NATO tanks finally rolled in and the Afrin defense became a guerilla war..

It is not necessary either to set  up a ”safe zone”.   All Turkey has to do is pull out and stop the arms, cash and material supplies,  HTS in Idlib would have to surrender the Al Qaeda State, the war would quickly end and the refugees would surely flock home. I think there are a few issues that arise from the book. Firstly the question of violence itself. Often campaigns and movements adopt non-violent strategies for moral reasons. But the violence that Chenoweth and Stephan talk about is usually terrorist or guerrilla warfare. They aren’t really considering situations where a few windows get broken as part of a much bigger demonstration, or where during a mass, non-violent protest strike or stay-away, a group of protesters might injure or kill a policeman. In fact, in many cases, the authors note that these sort of incidents did occur but class the movements as non-violent.
The problem is that most contemporary movements that argue for these strategies are not arguing against terrorism as a strategy, but arguing that no sort of violence…

‘Rule of Law a Joke’: Catalans jailed on Suspicion as Show Trial Verdict looms

(leer en castellano abajo)    Seven young independentists  from Republic Defense Committees  (CDRs) arrested on suspicion last Monday arrived at the Spanish Court with a Civil Guard bus around seven in the morning but did not begin to testify until 11.

They were refused bail as it was claimed they might abscond.

The obvious reason for their detention is the taking of hostages against reaction to the upcoming sentencing of the Catalan leaders, within the next 10 days, by the politically appointed far right High Court.

The elected leaders have spent 2 years in jail awaiting trial  for holding a long demanded, non binding, consultation referendum on Catalan Independence, which resulted in an overwhelmingly YES PLEASE vote despite massive military police attacks which shocked the world.

The CDRs are local horizontally organised committees set up after the wave of police and following far right and fascist attacks.

The 7 youths were arrested in an operation ordered by the holder of the court of instruction 6 of the Court, Manuel García Castellón.

According to the version of the Civil Guard, they were found material and substances considered ‘precursors’ of the manufacture of explosives, in fact things you might find in any garage or kitchen.

The arrests by the Madrid run paramilitary Guardia Civil were seen as an open return to Francoist dictatorship. The local parliament passed a motion demanding the removal of agents from the Civil Guard from Catalonia. But of course they have no powers to enforce this and the local Mossos police are now also run by central government.

Before the hearing, political representatives, such as Eulàlia Reguant and Maria Sirvent, and members of the CDR declare.

Azores in path of Cat 5 Hurricane Lorenzo. Sinks Ship. May hit Ireland Thursday

‘Spectacular Hurricane Lorenzo continues to churn in the Central Atlantic in a region where no hurricane so intense or so large has ever been observed’ weather underground. Update> Lorenzo now highest CAT 5 , winds 257 kph/160 mph

Sea temperatures in Ireland are always way too low for a Hurricane. But Lorenzo developed in mid Atlantic where the temperatures were hotter than normal, due in part to the record hot summer in the northern hemisphere.

So we can say the Lorenzo’s phenomenal size and strength is in part promoted by the global warming emergency, and, though normal, sea temperature round Ireland are way higher than this time last year (see comparative maps below).

An unusually supportive environment has propelled Lorenzo to its record strength for this part of the Atlantic…”Sea surface temperatures are close to 1°C (1.8°F) warmer than average, putting the ocean well above the 26°C (79°F) threshold for tropical development.

Lorenzo’s tropical-storm-force winds extended out 450 miles from northwest to southeast at 11 am EDT Friday. AZORES IN PATH OF MONSTER

Hurricane Lorenzo, a Category 4 storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale, could affect the Azores islands by Tuesday, October 1, according to the US National Hurricane Center (NHC). The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts that the western islands of Flores and Corvo and central islands of Terceira, Faial, Pico, Sao Jorge, and Graciosa will be most affected.

”Track forecasts from the 12Z Saturday GFS and European models are in close agreement on bringing Lorenzo very close to the 30°W/40°N point on Wednesday. Such a track would thread the needle between the far-northwest Azores islands of Corvo and Flores and the rest of the archipelago.

Lorenzo’s wind field is so vast—hurricane-force winds are predicted to extend 75 miles east of the center by Tuesday—that the predicted track could bring winds approaching hurricane force in the northwest and/or central Azores even if no direct landfall occurs.

Ensemble model output from Friday night shows enough left-to-right uncertainty in Lorenzo’s track that all of the Azores should keep tabs on the hurricane’s progress toward the islands. Given Lorenzo’s vast size and strength, very high seas and sustained winds in the high tropical-storm range (50-70 mph), with higher gusts, could cause widespread trouble across large parts of the Azores on a variety of potential tracks-
