Freedom Press is in the process of re-printing The Adventures of Tintin: Breaking Free that perennial anarchist classic.
It features our hero, a ordinary working class lad from the inner cities, at the centre of political demonstrations, wildcat strikes, street riots, and eventually a revolutionary uprising.
It graphically depicts scenes of social unrest, workers solidarity and people looting the local Tescos.
Mass rallies in Egypt against Israeli killings of Egyptian soldiers.
Divide and rule..Sure thing the Generals on BOTH sides are secretly delighted.
Using nationalism as always to divide and control
Suddenly interest has switched from Mubarak’s grisly trial.
Dont forget…”Before and after Mubarak was ousted, Egypt’s military arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and disappeared thousands, a practice continuing to ruthlessly stay in power and prevent change.”
and …”Notably, Washington backs brutal junta rule, including violence against growing public opposition to prevent a “second revolution.” So does National Association for Change leader Mohamad ElBaradei, saying he regards the military as the main guarantor of Egypt’s “incipient democracy,” when, in fact, none exists, isn’t planned, and won’t be tolerated by junta generals, top Obama administration officials, or himself, based on his offensive comment and others earlier.
From around March to July 7, Al Jazeera reported little about Egyptian discontent, strikes, street protests and brutal security force crackdowns, including the mass July 1 street protests and a million or more coming out on July 8….”
This is what he wrote.. “I think we should start rioting, it’s about time we stopped the authorities pushing us about and ruining this country. “It’s about time we stood up for ourselves for once. So come on rioters – get some. LOL.”
This is an absolute attack on free speech. The 17 year old lives in a small village near Bury St.Edmunds.There is nothing specific in his facebook post to any area – it’s a general statement. He’s been given a curfew, youth rehabiitation order and god knows what else. He’d even deleted it so it ws only up for a short time.
The weekend before last Nik Cohen posted in The Observer ‘Why are there no riots here’ – why aint he been done. Or a thousand pieces you could read in broadsheets giving opinions or on leftie blogs like this. Why pick on teenagers?
This prosecution is worse than the other one because it’s a general statement of opinion by no mean a specific incitement. If a kid in Syria had posted this he’d be hailed a hero. It’s now a crime here to say ‘I think we should start rioting’.
I think we need a lot of people who write and blog to stand up now and be counted on this one. Maybe some mass signed statement – maybe all put our names to what this kid has said and wait for the knock at the door. First they came for the 17 year old Facebookers…….

Prior to this Sunday’s match against Sunderland, Liverpool supporters backed by the Hillsborough Justice Campaign will be holding a demonstration in support of a continued boycott of the Sun. This serves as a timely reminder of the real and lasting damage media sensationalism can cause.
Fans will be distributing leaflets explaining the boycott around the Anfield area, but the hope in this demonstration is to spread awareness beyond those who are already very unlikely to buy the paper. Fans are encouraged to collect posters from the shop opposite the Kop and display them in the ground prior to kick off. There is also the possibility of escalating this campaign by displaying a mosaic at the subsequent Bolton match.
Of late, it was the Sun’s sister paper – the News of the World – which came under intense scrutiny, for the phone hacking scandal. However with that paper’s closure, and the sacking of a significant number of people, much of the furore has since died down. But it would be a mistake to presume guilt lay entirely with this one newspaper, or even stopped at News International.
As Adam Ford pointed out a while back, “every newspaper is subject to exactly the same pressures, in a dwindling but highly competitive market. Murdoch merely acted to introduce a lowest common denominator, a barrel-scraping standard against which all other papers must measure themselves.”
Nor is this a recent phenomenon, as the involvement of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign tells us. Scousers have no love for “the Scum” because of its horrendous reporting of that disaster, in which 96 people died as a result of a human crush, whereby it falsely accused fans of stealing from and urinating on the dead.
“Things got out of hand & we’d had a few drinks. We smashed the place up and Boris set fire to the toilets.”
Eton College born to rule brat David Cameron, 1986.
“The looting and arson last night were criminality, pure and simple. Justice will be done and the people will see the consequences for their crimes”
Tory Prime Minister of UK David Cameron, 2011
Whenever rioters speak for themselves a clear class analysis emerges – this time accompanied by a jerk of the thumb to Canary Wharf and then to the council flats behind and an attack on ‘The rich’ and the removal of EMA. Comrades will recall on the EMA march the ‘WE COME FROM THE SLUMS OF LONDON’ – well now they have. I think the anti-rich feeling is far more pervasive than many comrades realise.
The girls from Croydon know as well which side they are on. top analysis. Widely derided of course ‘stupid chav Croydon girls’ – seems to me they grasped the tenets of anarcho-communism pretty well. patronising snobs fuck off.
