Washington has long helped fuel the devastating conflict in Colombia that goes back to the era of La Violencia in World War I

Colombia: An Ideal U.S. Client-State in the Western Hemisphere

”Washington has always brutally fueled the devastating conflict in Colombia for power and profit. The US strategyin Latin Ameruca has always been to support the racist local oligarchy, formed originally from slavery and colonial conquest, which still owns most land and industry , ruthlessly exploiting and repressing peasants, workers, women and indigenous peoples”.

Berlin: Køpi Protest Weekend 15 May. It’s our home and we’re here to stay! Take action, large or small..

Køpi calls for friends and allies from around the world to meet in Berlin on the 15th and 16th of May for a weekend of protest. As Køpiplatz (trailer park) faces the most serious eviction threat to date, Køpi stands united to fight for our homes and families.
https://en.squat.net/wp-content/uploads/en/2021/05/20210515_protestweekend.jpg

Køpi has been a DIY project in the heart of Berlin offering living space for people in the house and trailer park for more than 30 years. It also continues to be a home for collectives, events, and creative energy since the day the first door was broken open.

We will not give up our way of life for some state backed developers! When the law wants to take our homes away, it’s time to break the law!

The alleged owner of Køpi, Startezia GmbH, is just another example of how our homes and autonomous communities are destroyed by anonymous postbox companies that care only about profit and not about people.

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Over the past year, I’ve been researching and writing as much as I can to help you take control of your health, as fearmongering media and corrupt politicians have destroyed lives and livelihoods to establish global control of the world’s population, using the COVID-19 pandemic as their justification
  • Through it all, I have refused to succumb to these relentless attacks. I have been confident and willing to defend myself in the court of law
  • Unfortunately, threats have now become very personal and have intensified to the point I can no longer preserve much of the information and research I’ve provided to you thus far. So, effective immediately, much of the information on my website will be permanently removed

Buting Community Free Shop and Pantry [Philippines]

Etniko Bandido Infoshop from Enough is Enough... shared with thanks

Philippines. We are on our 10th days straight now of our Mutual Aid initiatives called “Buting Community Free Shop and Pantry” providing grocery goods, vegetables and foods to our neighborhood. At this day, we managed to repack for 140 people.

Submitted to Enough 14.

Because of this pandemic, many people loss their job and basic needs such as food are badly needed. The government had no immediate response and if they give relief goods it is not enough. We are happy that this initiatives are spreading in the Philippines and showing the government that people are capable to help each other in times of crisis.Buting Community Free Shop and Pantry

Interview: Robyn Hambrook on Clowning and Activism

James Ward's avatarThe Bristol Activist

When you hear the word “clown”, the first thing to come to mind is maybe a circus, or a children’s birthday party, or perhaps even a villain in a horror film.

But, as Robyn Hambrook, a performer, director and clown, explains, there’s more to clowning than unicycles and balloon animals, with clowns historically playing an important social, political, and cultural role by speaking truth to power.

Robyn, who completed a masters degree on the subject, argues that the clown still holds relevance, and that the tools and techniques of clowning contain valuable lessons for activists today.

So what really is clowning and what can it teach us about activism? TBA’s James Ward spoke with Robyn from her home in Easton to talk about truth-telling, play, and rebel clown armies.

Robyn’s responses have been edited for clarity and conciseness.

JW: The popular image of the clown is probably different to your…
