The bad news is that the Migrant Prison was reopened after a court order, under control of national police from Madrid, though there is now a legal battle by the Catalan authorities to close it down.

Barcelona City Council has prohibited the re-opening of the local Foreigners Prison (CIE), which is run by the far-right central government in Madrid, on technical and safety grounds, claiming a victory for Human Rights.

The Platform of organisations campaigning for the closure of the Detention Center were celebrating the victory last night, which comes after a long series of pickets and growing demonstrations, which culminated in winning a vote in the Catalan Parliament demanding the closure of the CIE prison.

Stop NATO: German Troops On Russian Border: last time over 20 million were killed

US, British, Canadian and German troops are being deployed ‘in rotation’ in the Baltic States as NATO (read the USA and reluctant allies) further encircle Russia and deploy ‘anti-missile’ missiles just minutes from Moscow.

What the hell is going on? Both sides have nuclear missiles enough to destroy human civilisation (that’s us and our kids!) a hundred times over in a crisis or accident in a Nuclear War that wouldn’t last 2 days.

One German minister broke ranks and denounced this insane macho warmongering, and was quickly reprimanded. The NATO war exercises in Lithuania are especially dangerous as it directly borders the Kaliningrad part of Russia.

Nobody has forgotten that the last time German troops massed on the Russian border, under the Hitler dictatorship, over 20 million people ended up dead.

Of course the unarmed German troops are hardly a threat to Russia but they’re backed by the greatest force in history, and any serious incident, accident or provocation could mean instant annihalation.

Berliners Defy Massive Siege by Police, Defending Rigaer 94 and Autonomous Revolution from Market Gentrification

Rigaer 94 occupied center in Berlin symbolizes the struggle for a practical alternative to rampant insane predator capitalism

Police complained that more than 120 officers were injured (one had a bruise on his arm) and some 86 demonstrators were violently arrested during popular defence in the German capital which mercenary police complained was ‘the most aggressive and violent resistance in the last five years’.

Berlin state propaganda officials said in a statement Sunday ‘evil leftist protesters threw bottles, cobble stones and fireworks at the, attacking officers in full protective riot gear and hurt them with fists and kicks’.

They declined to say how many brave demonstrators were hurt by the 1000’s of ‘overzealous’ fully armed hysterical police on overtime double-pay. The day’s headlines went planetwide on commercial media ..”Anarchist terrorists hurt over120 nice innocent Policemen’‘.

The ”terrorists” were protesting against a total gentrification of their area which is destroying their progressive culture which has occupied some abandoned property for community use.
