The week marked 8 years since various groups of the Anarchist Black Cross (CNA) and different individuals around the world raised the initiative for a week of international solidarity with imprisoned anarchists, and coincides with the commemoration of the legal assassination of the anarchists Bartolomeo Vanzetti and Nicola Sacco by the US government in 1927.
The official history written by the powerful plus the progressive democratic left and a part of anarchism have been especially concerned with creating a victimizing image of Sacco and Vanzetti and away from any illegalist practice.
All of this based on what is recognized by the North American judicial apparatus that within the criminal proceedings that convicted Sacco and Vanzetti there were many irregularities and they would be legal “innocent” (information that became known many years after the murder of the comrades).

UPDATE 15th SEPT..Bar Association Chair, lawyers taken out of the courtroom by police force At the hearing of jailed former Nusaybin Mayor Ayşe Gökkan in Diyarbakır, the presiding judge ordered the Diyarbakır Bar Chair and lawyers out of the courtroom by police force. Gökkan’s requests for additional time and recusal have been rejected. While the lawyers and the relatives of Gökkan, who objected to the incident, were battered out, the police tried to detain Ayşe Gökkan’s niece Vedat Gökkan. They stopped after MPs and lawyers intervened. Meanwhile, Ayşe Gökkan’s elder sister Mihrican Gökkan passed out and was taken to a hospital.e “We are Kurds, we are women and we are here. We will tirelessly make our demands for freedom and equality heard,” said a statement issued by the Kurdish women’s movement..

The trial of Kurdish politician Ayşe Gökkan will continue today in Amed. A spokeswoman for the Free Women’s Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad, TJA) faces up to 35 years in prison for allegedly holding a leadership position in a clandestine organization.
The TJA calls for solidarity with Ayşe. “We are Kurds, we are women and we are here. We will tirelessly make our demands for freedom and equality heard, “said a statement from the Kurdish women’s movement.
Ayşe has been in prison since late January after an arrest warrant was issued for one of more than 200 trials against her (at least 167 are individual cases).
It’s not the first time she’s been in jail. The last time she was in prison was in 2017 for five months. She was also taken into police custody dozens of times.
