After spending more than 2 years in jail, and with the prosecution demanding 44 years each, it became clear on the 1st day of their trial that the State has virtually no evidence against Monica and Francisco.!
It’s a political case, linked by the police to ongoing raids and repression of the socially progressive and popular anarchist and occupation movement, and aiming to brand them and the anarcho syndicalist trade unions as ”terrorists”.

On 8th- 10th March our comrades Monica Caballero and Francisco Solar,will be judged in the Audiencia Nacional. They face a fiscal request of 44 years in prison on charges of “belonging to a criminal organization with terrorist aims forming a ‘terrorist group’… the Comando Insurreccionalismo Mateo Morral (which seems to be a made-up name for a non-existant group)., damage, injury and conspiracy “, mainly based on the alleged action taken against the Basilica del Pilar de Zaragoza.
Monica and Fran haave already spent more than 2 years in prison awaiting trial. The Catholic Church is furious about the ‘firework in the Basilica’ and has used it’s connections, various State Ministers are prominent in the Opus Dei sect, to make an example of the alleged attackers. “Share in defense of freedom of expression”,
Two teenage rappers have been interrogated by the police for uploading a video to Youtube in which they criticise the security forces. It is Ajax & amp; Prok, two young people who began rapping at only 13 and 16 years of age and have gradually made their way into the world of rap.
They face jail and up to 30,000 euros fine each under the draconian new ‘Gag Laws’.
The rappers themselves posted an image on the social networks in which they appeared both with their mouths hidden by sellophane and a text announcing that have been questioned by police .
“Share in defense of freedom of expression”, they asked on their Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages where they soon received thousands of messages of support from their fans.
Nearly 5,000 people follow these rappers on Facebook where the news was shared more than a thousand times and received more than a hundred comments from people around the world:.
“A lot of support came from Argentina,” and other supportive comments such as: “power in defense of freedom is greater than the power in the name of tyranny and oppression”

The full length documentary, UNGOVERNABLES tries to approach the present reality of the anarchist or anti-authoritarian movement in Catalonia. The police broken into the house of 5 comrades from the Straight Edge Madrid collective this morning (04.11.15) and seized collective materials then arrested all 5 comrades.
The 5 comrades are being held at the Moratalaz police station and have not been allowed to see a lawyer. Coming straight after the Pandora raids (with no evidence) the arrest of vegan anti drug activists on terrorist charges is one more cynical far right election ploy to put the word TERRORISTS all over the tame subsidised media. The first I knew of it, for example was a headline saying ”anarchist terrorists seized for bombs in Madrid”.. but there have been no bombings!

The Police have this morning arrested at least nine people accused of ”organizing a terrorist group” in a new political operation led by the National Court. Hundreds of Catalan police smashed into and searched various anarchist social centers and local homes from 7.00 am in the neighborhoods of Sants, Gracia, Clot and Sant Andreu in the city of Barcelona, and in the city of Manresa.
the police attacks were ordered by is the Spanish National Court as a new phase in the much criticised and ridiculed ‘ Pandora operation’, as confirmed by a note from the Catalan police, the first phase resulted in the arrest of ten people and preventive imprisonment of seven of them last December (finally all were released on bail due to lack of evidence)..
Among the targets this time is the Revoltosa Occupiued Social Center in in Clot, and the main Anarchist Ateneo center in Sants, at Maria Victoria St, where ten vans of riot police were deployed.
When the news got out, dozens of people have gathered to show their solidarity and have cut the principle Sants high street behind a banner in support of the detainees
