I think the image says it all. We can come up with some fairly legitimate reasons why we want to move away from nuclear, oil and coal as fuel sources. But wind? That’s when the arguments against this renewable energy start to run fairly thin. And NIMBYism? Well, that one will hopefully fizzle out entirely.

There’s nothing wrong with wind…except that it can never provide more than a fairly clean, albeit very expensive, backup to ‘always available’ sources of power. Oil & coal are killing people and stuffing up the atmosphere EVERY DAY, but even when it goes tits up, like Fukushima or Chernobyl, the damage caused by nuclear power is actually minimal
