The final logic of Capitalism is war. The excuse of a ‘chemical weapons’ in Syria is as false as Saddam’s secret weapons. This time round more millions of innocents will die, to boost the profits of the US ‘War Economy’ Corporations who control the US Congress. This time round there is little protest, nobody believes they can be serious, but  this war is becoming daily more certain. Now is the time for the US  and UK public to stop a barbaric air blitz…

NATO poised to invade Syria – U.S. fleet on Syrian coast, 10,000 troops ready to go

Thousands of US troops arrive near Syrian shore on USS Eisenhower

“We have (US) special operations forces at the right posture, they don’t have to be sent,” an unnamed US official told The Australian, which suggested that US military troops are already near Syria and ready to intervene in the conflict, if necessary

The US and NATO are set to invade Syria, something many of us have been warning about for a while now. It has been obvious that they have been looking for a pretext and that pretext has already been injected into the public debate. That pretext: chemical weapons, revealed by Fox News and the Director of the CIA, the same two sources that brought us all of the Iraq invasion lies.

Sadly no matter how questionable or fabricated the pretext is, it appears that there is nothing we can do except sit back and watch the US and its surrogates invade and decimate yet another nation.

The whole Syrian scenario is right out of the Iraq-Afghanistan invasion playbook. We know that the US and its surrogates, including NATO, Sunni Arab partners and Israel, are all waiting for a pretext and preparing for an invasion of Syria and Iran. They want to invade for resources and pre-planned geopolitical goals, this is a given, the only problem is there has not been enough of a reason to, until now. Thanks to whom? Once again, Fox News.

Syria’s WMD: Real Threat or ‘Pretext for Intervention’?

The US and Europe are whipping up fear of chemical weapons as a pretext to intervene in Syria, President Bashar al-Assad’s government said on Thursday, after NBC News reported that US officials told their reporters that Syria had just “locked and loaded” sarin gas into aerial bombs.

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad: “We fear there is a conspiracy to provide a pretext for any subsequent interventions in Syria by these countries that are increasing pressure on Syria.” Interviewed on Lebanon’s Al Manar television Thursday, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said, “Syria stresses again, for the tenth, the hundredth time, that if we had such weapons, they would not be used against its people. We would not commit suicide. We fear there is a conspiracy to provide a pretext for any subsequent interventions in Syria by these countries that are increasing pressure on Syria.” He warned that any such intervention would be “catastrophic.”

Mekdad also told the UK’s Sky News Thursday that he doesn’t even know if the Assad regime has chemical weapons. He reportedly said: “We don’t know if we have them or not.”

Syria: Large amounts of oil shale in the region of Khanasser in the district Aleppo

The Syrian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources reported in 2010 that there is evidence for large amounts of oil shale in the region of Khanasser in the district of the Syrian city of Aleppo, amounting to about 37 billion tons, with a thickness of up to 240 meters, and that the oil therein would be of a very high quality and low sulphur content.
