Support those on trial for Parliament Blockade. 20 people will be judged from 31 March for an action trying to stop antisocial budgets in Parliament .
”What originally happened was that a huge demo blockaded the park in Barcelona where the parliament is situated on 
the morning the severe health, education and social security cuts were to be voted through in the new budget. The demo was organised by the 15M movement which at the time was very pacifist, activists on the blockade were controlled with chants of NO VIOLENCE. There was a huge police presence but they deliberately let some Deputies walk unescorted through the crowd, where they were booed and one had his jacket sprayed. Really, I was there and nothing much happened. The video was used in a media campaign against the ‘violent anti democratic thugs’ in an attempt to divide and rule any opposition, and 20 people were hunted down and charged. Now finally they’re up for trial in a highly repressive climate. Meanwhile the important politicians were flown into the park by helicopter, in an unnecessary media stunt, heroically evading the pacifist thugs and passing the budget for the predator banks. That was 3 years ago… now the support demo has the slogan: ‘I WAS ALSO BLOCKADING PARLIAMENT.. AND I’D DO IT AGAIN’

The financial and economic crisis that’s been ravaging Western societies since 2008 has led the to the imposition of public policy adjustment driven by political power , and been the excuse for serious setbacks in terms of social and economic rights .
The right to health, and quality public education , housing , the environment and energy, labor or culture have been continuously cut and emptied of content , making them accessible only to those who can afford it . While wealth is increasingly concentrated in fewer hands , the majority of the population is doomed to poverty and a precariousness which is increasingly untenable.
Given this situation , many sectors of our society decided to respond . Leavingbehind isolation and frustration, we opened a phase of strong aspirations for social change through extensive processes of protest , disobedience and self-organization. .
In reaction to this awakening , the Spanish government has launched a restructuring of the framework of rights and freedoms whose key features makem up an authoritarian regime that preserves the label “democracy” .
The approval of the planned reform of the Penal Code , the Criminal Procedure Act , Abortion Act , Law and Public Safety and the Private Security Act would represent a leap back over 40 years in civil and political rights only gained by decades of struggle and mobilization .
These ”reforms” :
Restrict as absolutely unnecessary , unjustified and disproportionate the freedom of assembly and expression , as well as freedom of expression, opinion and information.
Consolidate the expansion of criminal law criminalizing dissent and further poverty.
Represent a profound violation of the right to their own bodies and freedom of choice for women.
Grant authorities wide margins of arbitrariness against public protesting and making use of public space.
These ”reforms” represent an attack so severe that social rejection must be equally strong . From Disobedience Campaign 2014 made by people and social groups , unions, neighborhood associations , and human rights call on civil society to be positioned firmly against this massive and intolerable offense , making clear that it accept any setback in the rights and freedoms of thanks to the efforts of generations of people struggling . In fact, this retreat come already suffering . Do not forget that 20 people will be judged from 31 March to try to stop an action antisocial budgets to Parliament . That is why , in case you do not stop these reforms , announcing that henceforth generate mechanisms of collective disobedience to this law can not be applied .

Manifest:
La crisi financera i econòmica que està devastant les societats occidentals des de l’any 2008 i que ha portat la imposició de polítiques públiques d’ajustament impulsades pels poder polítics, han donat lloc a regressions greus en matèria de drets socials i econòmics. El dret a la salut, a l’educació pública i de qualitat, a l’habitatge, al mediambient i a l’energia, al treball o a la cultura han estat contínuament retallats i buidats de contingut, convertint-los en mercaderies accessibles només per aquelles persones que s’ho poden permetre. Mentre la riquesa es concentra cada vegada en menys mans, la majoria de la població es veu abocada a una situació de pobresa i precarització cada cop més insostenible.
Davant d’aquesta situació, amplis sectors de la nostra societat van decidir respondre. Sortint de l’aïllament i de la frustració, van obrir una fase de fortes aspiracions de canvi social, mitjançant extensos processos de protesta, desobediència i autoorganització.
Com a reacció envers aquest despertar, el govern espanyol ha posat en marxa un procés de reestructuració del marc dels drets i llibertats que té com a fita la construcció d’un règim de trets autoritaris que preservi l’etiqueta “democràcia”.
L’aprovació de les projectades reformes del Codi Penal, de la Llei d’Enjudiciament Criminal, de la Llei de l’avortament, de la Llei de Seguretat Ciutadana i de la Llei de Seguretat Privada representarien un salt enrere de més de 40 anys en els drets civils i polítics fruit de dècades de mobilització i lluita. Aquestes reformes:
Restringeixen de forma absolutament innecessària, injustificada i desproporcionada el dret de reunió i manifestació, així com la llibertat d’expressió, d’opinió i d’informació.
Consoliden el procés d’expansió del dret penal, criminalitzant encara més la dissidència i la pobresa.
Suposen una profunda vulneració del dret al propi cos i a la llibertat de decisió de les dones.
Doten els poders públics d’amplis marges d’arbitrarietat davant la ciutadania que protesta i que fa ús de l’espai públic.
Aquestes reformes suposen un atac tan greu, que el rebuig social ha de ser igualment contundent. Des de la Campanya Desobediència 2014, integrada per persones i col·lectius socials, sindicals, veïnals, i de defensa dels drets humans fem una crida a que la societat civil es posicioni de manera ferma i massiva contra aquesta intolerable ofensiva, deixant clar que no acceptarem cap retrocés en els drets i llibertats conquerides gràcies a l’esforç de generacions de persones lluitadores. De fet, aquest retrocés ja el venim patint. No podem oblidar que 20 persones seran jutjades a partir del 31 de març per intentar aturar uns pressupostos antisocials amb una acció davant del Parlament. És per tot això que, en el cas que no s’aturin aquestes reformes, anunciem des d’ara que generarem mecanismes de desobediència col·lectiva per què aquestes lleis no es puguin aplicar.
