At least 200,000 people, according to the organization, collapsed the center of Madrid, in an unprecedented historic march to demand that the fight against gender violence is a matter of State, as was the motto of the protest. The demonstration, called by more than 400 feminist groups around the state, walked the streets of the capital from the Ministry of Health to the entrance of the square of Spain, where the final communiqué was read.
In the consensus text, it explained that macho terrorism has killed more than 1,300 women over the last 20 years and since 2015 there have been 84 murders of women, according to research by Feminicidio.net. The march demanded a state pact against gender violence and the application of the Istanbul Convention on the rights of women.
