Since 2016, Frida Guerrera has dedicated her time to documenting cases of feminicide, throughout the country, and has accompanied the families of the victims, not only telling their stories and giving them a voice, but also supporting them with legal advice by an office of lawyers.
The work of FridaGuerrera has been recognized both nationally and internationally, not only for the professionalism and sensitivity with which it addresses each case of feminicide.., but also for the serious situation that exists in Mexico regarding the issue of violence against women. Proof of this is that the number of femicides registered in the country since January 1, 2016 to July 2, 2018 has been 5, 347 cases.
Beyond the number, Frida has given her face and name to every case she has come across, she has given a voice to the families, which in most cases are ignored by authorities and by civil society, but above all has shown the ineptitude and indolence with which the authorities have tackled the femicides,

FridaGuerrera began to document the feminicides that occurred throughout the country in 2016 and as soon as possible, she contacted the families of the women to give them face and voice.

In May 2017, FridaGuerrera received threats on her YouTube channel from Said García, who has already been identified by other people and who was in fact arrested by the authorities of the state of Puebla. However, the specific case of threats to FridaGuerrera it has been shelved due to the ineptitude of the authorities and it is no longer known or in what Public Prosecutor’s Office the investigation folder is located.

Frida daily updates the data, there is not a single day in the country that a womann is not killed, the State of Mexico tops the list with 96 femicides and 23 violent murders against women, followed by Veracruz with 62 femicides and 12 violent murders and in third place Chihuahua with 61 femicides and 10 violent murders.

Tanto las amenazas anteriores como las que recibió recientemente no frenarán el trabajo valiente y honesto que ha venido realizando.
El día 2 de julio de 2018 la activista feminista y periodista FridaGuerrera Villalvazo comenzó a recibir mensajes de odio en los que se le hostiga y amenaza de muerte debido al trabajo periodístico que realiza.
Desde el año 2016 Fridaguerrera ha dedicado su tiempo a documentar casos de feminicidios, en todo el país, y ha acompañado a las familias de las víctimas, no solamente contando sus historias y dándoles voz, sino también apoyándoles con asesoría legal, acompañada de un despacho de abogados.
El trabajo de FridaGuerrera ha sido reconocido tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, no solo por el profesionalismo y sensibilidad con el que aborda cada caso de feminicidio que acompaña, sino también por la grave situación que se vive en México respecto al tema de violencia hacia las mujeres. Prueba de ello es que el número de feminicidios que se han registrado en el país desde el primero de enero de 2016 al 2 julio de 2018 ha sido de 5, 347 casos.
Más allá del número, FridaGuerrera le ha puesto rostro y nombre a cada caso con el que se ha topado, le ha dado voz a las familias, las cuales en la mayoría de los casos son ignoradas por autoridades y por la sociedad civil, pero sobre todo ha puesto en evidencia la ineptitud e indolencia con que las autoridades han abordado los feminicidios,
Fridaguerrera nos ha mostrado como las instancias encargadas de brindar justicia se han negado a cumplir con su labor y por el contrario, se han dedicado a revictimizar a las mujeres y a sus familiares negando el acceso a una justicia pronta y expedita, lo cual solo se ha traducido en impunidad y sobre todo en el aumento de crímenes en contra de las mujeres por el simple hecho de ser mujeres.
Antecedentes:
FridaGuerrera comienza a documentar los feminicidios ocurridos en todo el país en el año 2016 y en cuanto le fue posible contactó con las familias de las mujeres para darles rostro y voz.
Uno de los casos más emblemáticos que ha acompañado es el “Calcetitas Rojas” una pequeña, que gracias a FridaGuerrera hoy sabemos que su nombre era Lupita, el cual nos mostró el nulo interés de las autoridades en la justicia
Esto dio pie a que comenzaras los hostigamientos por lo que FridaGuerrera pertenece al Mecanismo de Defensores y Periodistas de la nación desde el 5 de abril de 2017, debido al primer ciberacoso del que fue víctima por parte de la llamada “Legión Hulk”
En mayo de 2017 FridaGuerrera recibió amenazas en su canal de Youtube por parte de Said García quien ha sido ya identificado por otras personas y quien de hecho fue detenido por las autoridades del estado de Puebla, sin embargo, el caso específico de las amenazas hacía FridaGuerrera se ha quedado archivado debido a la ineptitud de las autoridades y ya no se sabe ni en qué Ministerio Público se encuentra la carpeta de investigación.
Tanto las amenazas anteriores como las que recibió recientemente no frenarán el trabajo valiente y honesto que ha venido realizando, ya que es una necesidad urgente que no solamente se cuenten números de mujeres asesinadas por el hecho de ser mujeres, sino también que se trabaje en la búsqueda de justicia ya que de otra manera no se podrá poner fin a este cáncer que agobia al país llamado feminicidio.
Por lo tanto la Red de Feministas Peninsulares exigimos a las autoridades federales y de la Ciudad de México que se comprometan a garantizar la seguridad y la integridad física y emocional de FridaGuerrera Villalvazo. Hacemos un llamado urgente a la sociedad civil en general para que pongamos atención y evitemos que más activistas y periodistas continúen siendo víctimas de amenazas e incluso de asesinatos debido a su labor.

FridaGuerrera Villalvazo hace 11 años, justo en el mes de junio 2006 comenzó a retomar las historias que dejó la represión que sufrió el magisterio en el gobierno de Ulises Ruiz Ortiz , en ese entonces comenzó a recapitular historias sobre violación de derechos humanos, más tarde conoció a las mujeres triquis y su interés aumentó, defender a las mujeres no ha sido fácil, Frida ha sufrido violencia sexual a través delas redes sociales.
Esa vulnerabilidad que vive la ha sabido afrontar con las historias que diariamente conoce, teclea y da a conocer a través de su blog “https://fridaguerrera.blogspot.mx/” y en redes sociales.
“El que una mujer defienda a otra mujer” no es cualquier cosa, para Frida ha sido romper estereotipos patriarcales y lo que se ha ganado es una violencia constante a través de las redes sociales que incluso han llegado en amenazas.
Frida ha sido amenazada varias veces a raíz de su trabajo, y ocurre porque es mujer, porque es periodista, porque es defensora de clases vulnerables, porque está en un país donde la impunidad es el aire que respiramos todos los días.
El 21 de marzo comenzó la violencia sexual a través de las redes sociales, en uno de sus intervenciones en vivo a través de su cuenta de Facebook comenzó a recibir mensajes amenazantes, incluso uno de ellos fue visto a través de la red de Youtube donde de forma violenta le deseaban muerte por visibilizar los feminicidios.
El hecho de vivir violencia sexual a través de las redes sociales fue para Frida una señal de alerta, le costaba trabajo entender que divulgar los feminicidios y muertes violentas ocasionaran daño a terceros cuando su misión era concientizar para detener esta masacre que viven las mexicanas.
“Fueron cuatro las veces las que sufrí violencia sexual a través de las redes sociales (21 marzo, 5 de abril, 19 y 31 de mayo), no pude esperar a que algo físico me ocurriera porque sigo dando a conocer los casos a través de historias, les doy voz a esas mujeres que fueron asesinadas para que sus historias sean leídas, entonces denuncié ante las autoridades de justicia”, indicó.
Frida acudió ante la Fiscalía Especializada en atención a defensoras y periodistas, “ha sido un proceso largo y burocrático, sin embargo vivo un poco más tranquila y por supuesto prevenida, pero no dejo de hacer lo que me corresponde, soy mujer y me duele que a las mujeres la violencia las asesine”.
Ser mujer y contar historias de mujeres ha sido un reto para la bloguera y activista , ha roto los miedos y cada vez más se vuelve más sensible, Frida no solo extrae el hecho ocurrido con la mujer, retoma sus historias, sus anécdotas, sus gustos, su familia y su ser como mujer.
“Son ellas las que hablan, solo les doy voz, Frida retoma las cosas que observa, que siente y que palpa, si no te involucras, simplemente no sientes”, expresó.
Frida comenzó hace un año y medio a registrar en una base de datos información sobre feminicidios y asesinatos violentos de mujeres, comenzó primero con el estado de Oaxaca, y después a nivel nacional, actualmente tiene el registro general de todo el año 2016 y 2017.
Por ejemplo compartió que el estado de San Luis Potosi ha sido una de las entidades federativas donde el feminicidio se ha elevado, en el 2016 fueron al parecer 3 o 4 mujeres, y en este 2017 suman 13 feminicidios y 2 asesinatos violentos contra mujeres.
“La violencia se vive con todas las mujeres mexicanas, ha sido impresionante las historias, ahora ya no son las que están en edad reproductiva, también asesinan a las menores de edad, tengo el caso de una menor de tres años y la última joven del Estado de México, pero también a mujeres adultas de 70 años, es terrible”.
El corazón y el ánimo de Frida parecen tambalearse en ocasiones, es mujer y eso le duele, pero respira, toda aire y sigue difundiéndolo porque si no plasma en un texto lo que las mujeres viven, será más difícil que la justicia llegue.
“A veces recostada me acuerdo de ellas, de sus sonrisas y miradas, a veces lloro de coraje, digo groserías y explotó por que las cosas siguen así de feas, pero me levantó y sigo tecleando, a veces trasnocho y no duermo pero se que es por una mujer, una como yo, una que vino a este planeta a vivir y no a que la maten”, expresó.
Frida diariamente actualiza sus datos, no hay un solo día en el país que no maten a una mujer, el Estado de México encabeza la lista con 96 feminicidios y 23 asesinatos violentos contra mujeres, le siguen Veracruz con 62 feminicidios y 12 asesinatos violentos y en tercer lugar Chihuahua con 61 feminicidios y 10 asesinatos violentos.
Seguidos aparecen los estados de Puebla, Ciudad de México, Guerrero, Michoacán, Guanajuato y Oaxaca con 46 feminicidios y 15 asesinatos violentos, el ultimo ocurrido en Ejutla de Crespo donde una mujer de 31 años fue asesinada a balazos cuando acompañaba a su pareja.
